Sukkot Celebration in Pictures
Lester celebrated the holiday of Sukkot with the MetroWest community. Children of all
ages from the Hebrew Academy of Morris County in Randolph sang songs and had treats
with us for a wonderful Sukkah Party! Just look at the smiles on everyone’s faces.

are interested.
It’s already November. The leaves have
changed color and are already beginning to fall. If you’ve ventured outdoors in the past few weeks, you undoubtedly noticed how unseasonably
cold it’s been. As stated in last months
newsletter, if you haven’t done so already, I would advise that you test your
heating unit in your apartment and ensure it is functioning as it should. If you
experience any issues, please contact
the Heller Concierge.
Late last year Lester Senior Housing was
awarded a Homeland Security Grant to
make some security improvements to
our building. As part of this grant, over
the next few months you will notice
some work being done primarily on the
roof of the building. High-intensity
lights will be installed so as to provide
better lighting surrounding the building
during nighttime hours as well as an advanced video surveillance system to
monitor activity around the outside of

Who, Who? Woo, Woo?
By Bea Freiheiter
I was walking outside, it was a beautiful day
The sky was an azure blue
I looked up when I heard a noise,
The owl was calling who, who.
It was a lovely shade of tan and brown
But then to my surprise
I saw flecks of orange and yellow glinting from its eyes
I answered back and said, “hello” and gave him a big how are you?
To my wonderment and delight
It whistled at me and said, woo, woo.
As the wise owl got ready to leave
It gently gave a tug to my sleeve
Please remember, and take note
Tell everyone get out and VOTE!
