Sport fishing for
STRIPED BASS
in southern Gaspésie
Sport fishing for striped bass in coastal zones will be allowed
from June 15 to September 30 in certain places and under
certain conditions:
▶▶ In Zone 21 waters between Cap-Gaspé and the downstream side of the Campbellton
Bridge, including the Baie des Chaleurs and the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence;
▶▶ Only single hooks can be employed, with no more than three hooks per line;
▶▶ Only artificial lures can be used (natural bait prohibited);
▶▶ All striped bass caught from June 15 to June 30 and from August 26 to September 30
must be released;
▶▶ There will be a one striped bass per day catch limit from July 1 to August 25;
▶▶ Only striped bass measuring from 50 to 65 centimetres from the tip of the snout to the
tip of the tail may be kept, from July 1 to August 25;
▶▶ Possession of more than one striped bass is prohibited at any given time.
