Variable Speed Means Consistent Comfort
The Model 604B packaged heat pump uses
a variable speed blower to achieve more
comfort than possible with a fixed speed
motor. With variable speed, the system runs
nearly continuously on lower speed to keep
the temperature even throughout the home,
at the highest levels of energy efficiency. As
conditions change, the system’s electronics
automatically adjust blower speed to provide
more or less conditioning as needed. By
circulating air throughout the home, a variable
speed system helps eliminate the discomfort
of up and down temperatures and warm or
cold areas in the home.
Enhanced Comfort Options
With its ability to operate nearly continuously, the Model 604B heat pump provides
enhanced comfort through the dehumidification that takes place during cooling mode.
And, because air passes through the
system filters more often, you will also
enjoy the benefit of cleaner indoor air. For
even greater comfort and humidity control
options, we recommend upgrading your
system to include our patented ThermidistatTM
Control. The Thermidistat Control offers full,
seven day programmability, allowing you to
create a customized comfort schedule. It
monitors temperature and humidity inside
AND outside, then adjusts system performance to achieve the optimum level of comfort.
And, it also offers “Cool to Dehumidify,” a
function that allows your system to use cooling operation as a home dehumidifier without
dramatically altering the indoor temperature.

Designed specifically for use with Puron®
refrigerant, the Model 604B provides an
environmentally sound solution for the
scheduled phase out of Freon* 22. Freon 22,
the industry standard refrigerant for many
years, is being taken out of production due
to environmental concerns. As it becomes

less and less available, costs to service using
Freon 22 will likely rise (an idea supported by
the rise in costs to service automobile air
conditioners using the phased out Freon 12).
