Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)…
Disha started working in the community with financial and training support of BPA
-Hilten-Perkins International 2003-2006). After the project got over we continued
the CBR work with an aim to reach out to individuals with disabilities who are left
out of the gamut of need based services, irrespective of age, sex, type of disabilities
and socio-economic status. It is also a step towards taking our services to the
doorsteps of the children and adults from below poverty line families. Lack of access
to health care and rehabilitation, education, skills training, and employment
contributes to the vicious cycle of poverty and disability. Currently we are working in .
about 25 slum areas of Vadodara.
Pre - Vocational & Vocational Training
Our Vocational Training Centre is equipped with all the requisite training facilities and equipment. The skills we help enhance and
develop are:Basic Computer Knowledge, Photocopying & Scanning, Tailoring & Dress Making, Jewelry Making Hand Made Paper
Products, Paper Bag Making, Screen Printing, Block Printing, Making Files and Folders, Spiral Binding and Lamination and decorative
items. Many a time the training programs are carried out in the community.
Medical Camp : Medical Camp was organized jointly with Rotary club of
Baroda Cosmopolitan on December 22, 2013 at Disha Special School. The camp

Chaudhari, Orthopedic Surgeon - Dr. Dhaiwat Nanvati , Ophthalmologist -Dr.
Khyati Mankad, ENT Surgeon- Dr. Rahul Gupta, Consulting Homeopath, Dr.
