About the Company
The company can trace its history back to 1983 when the founder established an Indonesian
national shipping company PT Samudra Petrindo Asia, which was to grow to become a major
public shipping corporation Osprey Maritime Pte. Ltd., owning and operating 36 tankers of various
types.
In 2001 the service activities of PT Samudra Petrindo Asia was acquired by PT. Perusahaan
Pelayaran EQUINOX a newly established Indonesian national shipping company. Established in
Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2001, Equinox brought together a wealth of experience in shipping and
offshore related activities in Indonesia and the region.
EQUINOX have been involved in a number of FSO, FPSO and FSRU projects in Indonesia up
through the years. Our aim is to be a business partners with our clients, managing their assets
in the most effective and cost efficient manner. We strive to improve our services by continuously
upgrading our Procedures and Human Resources.

EQUINOX Crew Management
EQUINOX ‘Crew, provides experienced seafarers to a number of managed and third
party vessels.
A pool of trained international and Indonesian seafarers operates under the Quality
standards established under DNV’s Crew Manning Office Certification and MLC2006.
EQUINOX crew are recruited based on clearly defined criteria after tests and interviews.
Criteria for selection includes previous Experience, Background, Education levels, and
Results of
Computer Based Tests on Knowledge, Skills and English Language Abilities.
The company’s training programme includes working with certified institutions ashore
as well as on board training. Training can also be tailor made to suit Principals needs.
EQUINOX conducts Officer and Crew seminars twice a year with internationals and local
speakers.
Nationalities represented in the EQUINOX pool include Indonesian, Croatian,
Indian,Pakistani, Russian and Newzealand.
