The Matrix Concepts Story
2009
It all started as a college project.
Input was utilized from top riders, mechanics and MX legend Bob Hannah. After several months of design, testing, and product development, the line was defined.
2010
Eddie Cole, who was the founder and President of Answer Products, Protaper, Manitou, SIXSIXONE, Tag Metals, Sunline and Filtron, leads the Matrix team of Chadd Cole,
Cameron Cole, Brady Sheren, Arnold Taylor and Brad McLean launching the MATRIX CONCEPTS line. The company had instant success with over 20 professional and
amateur teams using and endorsing the line. The company set up and has offices and warehousing facilities in Valencia, CA USA and Vancouver, BC Canada.
Phase One
Product strategy was focused on motorcycle off track and garage necessities.
The design team wanted to introduce a new approach to some old school products and developed a five part design criteria:
1. Make the products from high strength materials that were lightweight and very strong.
2. Create new innovative features that improved the product over the competition.
3. Give the riders / teams the ability to personalize the products with their name / number giving them the “Factory look”.
4. Have great retail values.
5. Offer a complete line of garage and track necessities.
2011
The team added additional garage and track necessities including a line of toolboxes and several accessories.
The business doubled in size and continues to grow internationally selling product in over 40 countries worldwide.
2012
The company doubled the business again and the Matrix Concepts product line by adding several new accessory products growing to 500 part numbers and introduced
the 1.7 Cleaning Solutions line that includes complete cleaning products and accessories. The company moves to a new 16,000 sq ft two story Valencia headquarters.
2013
The company’s growth continues, adding thirteen new products and plans to bring its brand of innovation and unique products
to the bicycle industry, including a new bicycle stand line and cycling specific line of 1.7 Cleaning and Lubrication products.
2014
