USA Fender Telecaster and Marshall JCM 2000 for Sale
I am selling my beloved Telecaster and Marshall amp as I have little time to make use of them these
days, so I hope to find my much loved American duo a good home where they will be played and
played rather than having to sit in a corner, wasting their potential.

The USA Fender Telecaster...
The guitar is a 2004 USA Fender Telecaster, which I have modified by contouring the body so it is
more comfortable to play (similar to the body shaping of a Fender Stratocaster), stripped the paint
from both the top and back of the body to expose the natural wood (adopting the appearance of
Vintage 60s Telecaster) and then re-finished with a light layer of polyurethane varnish and wax to
enhance resonance, which has also been improved by my gluing the neck into the body.
This guitar has been a work-horse for my musicianship throughout my student years and into my
early adulthood and has therefore seen its fair share of action. As a result it does have a few battle
scars, which one would expect of a guitar that has been played as hard as any owned by a gigging
band member.
Basic fret ware is apparent, as well as marks and dents here and there that should be expected of
any “used” guitar. The greatest extent of distress can be found at the Jack Plug end and where the
neck meets the cutaway at the top of the body.

This ware gives the instrument a character and a personality that many pay Fender thousands (that’s
right, thousands) of pounds for in a brand new “aged” custom model and only improves the guitar’s
feel and sound.
The Fender comes with an Official moulded hardcase, as well as all its original tools, care manual and
documents of authenticity. Also I am throwing in a genuine black-leather Fender guitar strap which
came as standard with a US Deluxe Fender Stratocaster I once owned.
For those who have never played (or recognised) an American-built Telecaster, I can assure you that
nothing I have played (and this includes US Stratocasters and Les Pauls) can compare to the clean
crisp sound of the single coil pickups found here. They will allow you to create tones and sounds that
will cover earthy blues right through rock and roll up to metal and beyond. This truly is the timemachine-guitar, being used today to innovate in music as much as in has in each of the past 6
centuries, making the most poignant relic to add to a collection as well as the perfect start to a
budding musicians pallet. For Technical Specification see end of document.

The Marshall JCM 2000...
The amplifier that I am selling along with my USA Telecaster can be given no greater compliment
than being the only Amplifier that I have ever owned (other than my first which died on me). I have
bought and sold over 11 different US built electric guitars in my lifetime in search of the perfect one
for me. But since buying this Full Valve Marshall around 6 years ago, I have never even considered
getting a second amplifier, let alone replacing it.
This beauty has been all I have ever needed, and has been my companion through countless hours
of bed-room practice, recording my own music and even playing gigs. Being something of an
audiophile, I am a great fan on full valve amps; disliking the hiss and tininess of transistor and digital
units.
The 401 Dual Super Lead provides full tone versatility over two channels, one clear, one dirty. The
Clean side of things allows you to adjust the gain output of the valves to roll from virtually perfect
natural amplification of the clean string sounds to a crunchy blues grumble that breaks up with a
satisfying fatness.
The Overdrive channel has two sub-channels, allowing for both a moderate amount of break-up that
will take one back to the crackle and pop of a rock-and-rock 4-some hammering out a classic riff,
opposed to the second side of this channel which creates enough distortion to allow for the most
soaring of solos to be sung and the meatiest of chord progressions to be thrashed out.
With on-board spring reverb and a second speaker out so you can link to a cab to create a stack, this
amp is as so versatile I have never looked back. And, being so keen to keep it going and going i have
taken such great care of it that it is in virtually new condition too, again with original paperwork and
operation manual present and correct. For Technical Specification see end of document.

The Extra Bits...
What, more you say? Indeed, as I am selling on both guitar and amplifier, I would not be so cruel as
to not also provide a few other bit and bobs to make it a full package.
I will also be selling two Original Boss effects pedals: Compressor Sustainer and Mega Distortion,
both in their original boxes I might add. Two official Fender jack leads and a short patch lead (to
connect the two pedals together) AND a 9V DC power bank, that will allow for up to five effects
units, such as the two pedals included, to be powered by a single mains adaptor.
