ATTENTION EXHIBITORS
The Scott County Fairgrounds will open at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Admittance onto the show grounds is not permitted by contract before that time.
PLEASE SEE MAP ON PAGE 10. DURING THE SHOW WEEKEND, PLEASE FOLLOW THE
SIGNS FOR ROUTING INTO THE FAIRGROUNDS. OVERSIZED VEHICLE RESERVATION
HOLDERS WILL RECEIVE A MAP BY EMAIL VERIFYING THEIR RESERVATION & ALSO
SHOWING THEM WHERE TO PARK (BY NUMBER SYSTEM). ALSO, OVERSIZED VEHICLES
WILL ENTER THE FAIRGROUNDS VIA FAIRVIEW LN ON THURSDAY & EARLY ON FRIDAY. ROUTING WILL THEN BE CHANGED TO ENTRY VIA THE MAIN GATE FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE WEEKEND (BECAUSE OF ROAD’S PROXIMITY TO THE SHOW
RINGS).
In order to accommodate exhibitors at Combined Specialty Shows on Friday, June 6, 2014, no setting up at ringside areas or the obedience & rally building can be permitted before Friday, at 6:00
pm. Outside grooming tent set-ups will be available beginning after 4:00 pm on Thursday, but
there will be roped off areas for the Friday Specialty Clubs. Reserved grooming set-up cannot
begin before 6:00 pm on Friday.
There will be some space available in the obedience and rally building for crates,
but this area will be limited. There is also a protected overhang area near the
buildings. This may be used for placement of crates if the building becomes congested. Crates should be stacked in these buildings in order to conserve space.
Again, buildings will not become available for Saturday and Sunday Shows until
after 6:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2014. Dogs must be removed from the show site
immediately following Best in Show judging on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
***WE WILL NOT HAVE CART ATTENDANTS THIS YEAR TO ASSIST EXHIBITORS WITH TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT TO RINGSIDE. All exhibitors are responsible for transporting their items.
There will be special instructions for exhibitors of GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTERS, SHETLAND
SHEEPDOGS, AND SHIH TZU, for Thursday and Friday only, because of the location of their buildings. This information will be sent separately to the Show Chairs.
No overnight parking prior to 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Easy-ups are allowed in designated area, but must be kept 20 feet from show rings.
***There is limited shade for the Old English Sheepdog and Borzoi Specialty rings on Friday. You
are encouraged to bring your own tents or Easy-ups to accomodate all your needs.
Admission is free to spectators. Parking fee is $5.00 per car per day. Catalogs will be $5.00.
Please turn off all cell phones and/or pagers before entering rings.
No baby strollers allowed in buildings.
Outside grooming space will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. No empty
spaces can be roped off or held. Please limit use of grooming tables to no more than three.
Reserved grooming is available by reservation only. See page 13 for more information about
reserved grooming.
ELECTRICAL OUTLETS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE GROOMING TENT AREA WHERE THE POWER IS
LIMITED.
Buildings will be locked at 8:00 pm on Friday & Saturday nights. No dogs will be allowed to
stay overnight in the buildings. Buildings will open on Saturday & Sunday mornings at 6:00
am.
LAKE MINNETONKA KENNEL CLUB HOLDS EACH EXHIBITOR RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING
UP AFTER HIS OR HER OWN DOG - ON SHOW GROUNDS AND IN PARKING LOT.
Clean up supplies are located on stands throughout the show site.
Class monetary prizes & trophies will be paid or awarded to the person in the ring showing the
dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before judging of that breed is over. The
Superintendent and the show giving club disclaim liability for cash prizes after judging of the
breed is over.
The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

All trophies must be claimed the day of the show - None will be mailed.
Food & refreshments will be available on the show grounds from Friday through Sunday from
7:00 am until 4:00 pm each day.
No unentered dogs will be allowed on the show grounds.
All photography & videotaping done for resale purposes during the show requires Club permission. **Anyone in violation of this rule may be escorted off of the show grounds for the remainder of the weekend.
The Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club retains all rights to the photographic, video, digital or electronic images from these shows. Non-private use of those images is not permitted without a written
licensing agreement with the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club.

THE MINNESOTA BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH DEMANDS THE FOLLOWING:
All dogs must be accompanied by a certificate showing proof of rabies vaccination within
24 months with modified live vaccine or 12 months with killed vaccine.
(Exception - 36 months with trimune killed vaccine)
These clubs do not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for these events.
At the sole discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp: Boykin Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels,
Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten
Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds & Polish Lowland
Sheepdogs. Ramps are expected to be used for Basset Hounds and Bulldogs. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In an emergency situation, an exhibitor does have the option of withdrawing their entry and
receiving a refund)
NEW EXHIBITOR BRIEFING on Saturday. Check Judging Program for time & location.
A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11,
Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 1st Entry & $3.00 additional entry of same dog will be required for each entry
in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 3) These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.
CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.
There will be no refund for duplicate entries.
Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging.
Dogs allowed in rings during judging only.
Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendents will be responsible or obligated to furnish any
service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a
class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.
The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
All trophies must be claimed the day of the show - None will be mailed.
All checks issued as prizes are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Lost, stolen and/or misplaced checks will not be
replaced. Checks are valid for 90 days. The Superintendent is not able to cash checks.
RETURNED CHECKS/DECLINED CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry fee. Fees must be paid in guaranteed funds. Checks will not be accepted. The Superintendent will add a fee for completing the transaction and/or
reprocessing the entries. Repeated occurrences from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY
basis.
Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge or barred
from competition by action of the Show Committee.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire,
extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any
other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent.
The show giving Club, the Show Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc, assume no responsibility for any loss,
damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.
No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will
not be accepted without fees, signatures or the “Agreement” on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form.
Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by
telephone are not acceptable.
Refunds of $3.00 & less will not be issued due to the costs of processing.
An administrative fee of $2.00 will be charged for all cancellations or changes made prior to closing of entries.

FROM THE NORTH, EAST OR WEST: From intersection of I-494 & US-169, drive south on US-169
approximately 18 miles to stoplights on US-169 in Jordan. Turn right at stoplights then drive 2
blocks to 190th St W. Turn left to Scott County Fairgrounds.
FROM THE SOUTH: Drive IH I-35 North to Exit 76/CR-2. Turn left toward New Market. Follow
260th St E/CR-2 (14.1 miles) to Helena Blvd/MN-21. Turn right & follow MN-21 (7.3 miles) to 2nd
St E/MN-282. Turn left on 2nd St E, cross US-169 then drive 2 blocks to 190th St W. Turn left to
Scott County Fairgrounds.

Spaces are available by reservation for Recreation Vehicles & Box Vans.
All reservations including payment must be received by US MAIL by
May 14, 2014. Checks made payable to the Lake Minnetonka Kennel
Club should be mailed to: Mike Matanic, 6910 Fogelman Road, Maple
Plain MN 55359. No faxes, emails or phone reservations will be accepted. Hook-ups are limited (20 amp & 30 amp power) & these will be
assigned to those reservations requesting it. Mail early to be sure of
power. All assignments will be made on a first received (postal date)
basis. Please be sure to include your email address & phone number as
your assignment number & parking map will be emailed to you.
Handcap RV parking is available. Reserved spaces are available for Box
Vans without power. Any group parking requests must be submitted
together in the mail.
Show grounds will open at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014 for RV &
Box Van parking only. Those arriving before 4:00 pm will queue on
Fairview Lane until the gates open.There will be signs showing routing. After 8:00 pm, a club member will be on the grounds & will asssist
those who arrive later at night. THERE WILL BE NO ACCESS TO THE RV
AREA VIA THE MAIN GATE - PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS TO RV PARKING.
The Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club will do its best to accommodate all
requests, but we must reserve the right to place vehicles in appropriate
spaces, depending upon weather conditions, vehicle requirements &
availability. Spaces will be assigned as the reservations arrive so if you
have special requirements, please mail early. If there are any remaining
available spaces in the RV parking area upon your arrival at the show
grounds, it will be assigned at that time, however, the rates will
increase by $25.00.
NO INDIVIDUAL DAY RESERVATIONS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THIS SHOW.

DEFINITION OF NON-REGULAR CLASSES
These definitions apply to all Specialty Clubs where any of these classes are listed in the classification.
NON-REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES Involving Single Dog Entries
***VETERAN DOG CLASS - A Class for Dogs seven (7) years or older.
***VETERAN BITCH CLASS - A Class for Bitches seven (7) years or older.
***BOXERS & IRISH WOLFHOUNDS - six (6) years or older.
FIELD TRIAL DOG CLASS - A Class for Dogs that have placed first, second, third or fourth in an
AKC licensed or member field trial.
FIELD TRIAL BITCH CLASS - A Class for Bitches that have placed first, second, third or fourth in an
AKC licensed or member field trial.
HUNTING DOG CLASS - A Class for Dogs that have achieved the AKC Junior Hunter, Senior
Hunter or Master Hunter Titles (Qualifying Score or Title from Hunting Test).
HUNTING BITCH CLASS - A Class for Bitches that have achieved the AKC Junior Hunter, Senior
Hunter or Master Hunter Titles (Qualifying Score or Title from Hunting Test).
NON-REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES Involving Multiple Dog Entries
As the judge's decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the
merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged
first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these
classes.
STUD DOG CLASS - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under
the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of
the regular classes, or if a Champion of Record in Best of Breed Competition, but MUST be
entered in the Stud Dog Class, the Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud
Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee, this being the regular fee plus
the additional class fee if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be shown
in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get.
BROOD BITCH CLASS - Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and
Produce for Get.
BRACE CLASS - Two dogs of the same Breed or Variety of Breed with one or more common
owner and both dogs must be entered in another class.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION
NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on
the day of the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with
competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE SENIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day
of the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN JUNIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class at a
licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the
day of the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice
Class at a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
OPEN SENIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class at a
licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
MASTER CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the
show and who have won ten (10) first place wins in an Open Class, with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the
eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All juniors meeting the criteria for
this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if
entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed, all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.
NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry.

Competition is offered for dogs & bitches 7 years & older (divided by sex) from Best of Breed Veteran
through Best Veteran in Show. Neutered dogs & spayed bitches are NOT eligible to compete.
Veteran Best of Breed will be judged following the regular classes in each breed, Veteran Variety
Groups will be held. Best Veteran in Show will be judged prior to Best in Show.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION
NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on
the day of the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with
competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE SENIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day
of the show who at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN JUNIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class at a
licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the
day of the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice
Class at a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
OPEN SENIOR CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of
the show who at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class at a
licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice Class.
MASTER CLASS - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the
show and who have won ten (10) first place wins in an Open Class, with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the
eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All juniors meeting the criteria for
this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if
entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed, all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.
NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry.

HANDLER: Professional Handlers may only handle exhibits of which they are the owner, co-owner,
breeder or member of the immediate family, however, it is recommended that a photocopy of
the registration certificate for the exhibit accompany the entry for such an exhibit. A Professional
Handler in Sweepstakes is defined as any person who receives remuneration for handling an
exhibit not owned by them or a member of their immediate family.
DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY AS PRIZES
35% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 65% will be
divided as follows:
1st - 30% • 2nd - 20% • 3rd - 10% • 4th 5%

AGREEMENT
I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win
prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold
this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless
from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of
this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility
and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or
damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are
entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color). Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.).
Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth
coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies
(rough, smooth),
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs
which, according to their owner’s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show
where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has
been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of
acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his
name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the A.K.C. (For complete rules refer to Chapter 11, Section 3).
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog “AllAmerican Dog/Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.

AGREEMENT
I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win
prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold
this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless
from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of
this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility
and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or
damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties
harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this
event, however such injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be
alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I
(WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION
OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT
SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION.
HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE
FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are
entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color). Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.).
Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth
coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies
(rough, smooth),
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs
which, according to their owner’s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show
where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has
been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of
acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his
name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the A.K.C. (For complete rules refer to Chapter 11, Section 3).
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog “AllAmerican Dog/Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
