Membership List 13 Cypress Creek Match 14 Page 2 AKC’s Canine Ambassador Program Ambassadors for Our Breed Dear Members, I would like to take this time to tell you about a program that has been implemented to our club. AKC’s Canine Ambassador Program. It is a program that is affiliated with AKC dog clubs and it’s participants are involved in making presentations and visitations to children. Any member in good standing with the club can sign up. I’d like to introduce two members who are presently signed up. Catherine Goff, our Secretary., visits a local school and holds presentations to two different grade levels twice a year. Barbara Eberhardt, a long standing club member, makes hospital visits to a local Plano hospital weekly. I am proud to support both these individuals in their community volunteer work with children. Now partnered with DFWLRC and AKC we can offer them more support. AKC supplies these ladies with educational material, coloring books, activity books and even DVD’s for schools. All this free of charge, graciously donated by AKC. I personally can not thank these ladies enough for their participation in this program. Doing so has helped our club fulfill a major activity with our compliance with AKC for approval of our specialty. If you feel you would like to become a participant or have interest in this program, please contact me for further details.
