Mild winters, rainy summers. Our climate is changing and it is becoming ever more challenging
to adjust to the seasons. While it may once have
been possible to know what the next winter would
bring, it is important to be able to consider different scenarios today. This is made easier by modern cooling and heating systems that are steadily gaining importance at our company. Even the
market has recognized this and is relying more

Depending on regional conditions, the impact
ranges from a rise in sea level to glacier melt
to the occurrence of droughts. The “heating &
cooling” sector is a market segment particularly affected by changes in climate. Renewable
energies are increasingly in demand for room
heating as well as room cooling and air-conditioning. CO 2-neutral solutions are becoming more
important, but energy consumption is expected
to grow due to the increased distribution of air
conditioners.

Aside from the increasing demand for efficient,
long-lasting and high-quality heating and cooling
devices, there is yet another trend that producers

the Austrian heat pump specialist, Neura, reflects
the total-solution skills of Greiner Assistec. The
improved plastic pump housing is superior to the
alternatives, thanks to several advantages: The
synthetic surface makes it possible to dispense with a coating process and allows for more
design freedom. The material is lighter, thereby
reducing the overall weight of the heat pump. A
specially developed weatherstrip made of silicon
that improves water resistance is used to seal the
outer walls. Greiner Assistec can utilize its varied
skills within the Greiner Group in manufacturing
the heat pump housing: To ensure low-noise
operation, the component is insulated with audio foam from Eurofoam GmbH, a joint venture of
Greiner Foam International. But even businesses
such as Solarfocus, Guntamatic, DZD, Coorstec,
Geberit and Radox trust the expertise of Greiner
Assistec. „Our objective is to find the correct and
perfectly tailored response for every complex
challenge,” states Wolfgang Rotschopf, “whether
it be through injection molding, thermoforming,
surface finishing or assembly. The use of these

Easy to handle, twice the utility
Innovation and Tradition in Harmony
Going back to 1689, Husqvarna has been one
of the world‘s most successful providers of machinery and tools and, today, is market leader in
forest and garden. Husqvarna serves both the
construction and masonry industries as well as
demanding end consumers with a rich product
palette. When it comes to challenging plastic
products, Husqvarna relies on its collaboration
with Greiner Packaging - as in the case of their
newly designed Husqvarna Combi can which
was realized in collaboration between the Greiner Packaging Divisions Assistec and Kavo. This
container holds oil in one chamber and petrol
in another, and has been specially designed for
chainsaw users, where the refueling tanks enable them to work without extended interruptions.
Headquartered in Wels, REFORM-WERKE BAUER
& CO GmbH has greatly influenced the mechanization of mountain landscaping with its complete
range of landscaping products specially designed for steep, rough terrain. Its versatile fleet of
machines is seeing increasing use even in more
urban settings. And where plastic and know-how
are concerned, REFORM-WERKE BAUER & CO
relies on the expertise of Greiner Assistec. The
introduction of the Metrac H8 X, a new two-axle
mower, is testimony to this successful partnership. Greiner Assistec produces the roof and interior and exterior trim parts. Improvements over
the previous model are reflected in the more efficiently distributed wall thickness of the new double-walled roof, in the enhanced serviceability of
the newly incorporated air-conditioning system,
and in the use of more slip-resistant ABS/TPU

Prior to this Husqvarna innovation, the oil and
gasoline containers had to be produced separately and then assembled later. An intensive
collaboration between Husqvarna and Greiner
Packaging has resulted in developing a considerably more efficient production process: A
single production step is used to produce one
container with two chambers using one tool. The
time-consuming assembly step has been dropped, thereby saving money. The new Combi can
has an integrated tool box for frequently needed

tools and spare parts, which allows users to keep
on working. Both chambers have an inspection
window that can be used to check the oil and
gasoline fill level. Husqvarna sets a high safety
and quality bar for its products. And that is one
of the main reasons it has chosen to collaborate with Greiner Packaging, which employs drop
tests, pressure tests, and leak tests to ensure the
Combi can can be used without a hitch. The Husqvarna Combi can is approved in accordance
with UN recommendations.
