with us
Join in the fun and make friends with InterAct’s Short Breaks group activities and opportunities.
Whether it’s a couple of hours at the movies, or a whole day at the zoo, our Activity Programme is bursting with fun things to do
for young people, whilst giving parents/carers a break. We support young people to get out and about in the community, make
friends, build new skills, try new activities and have fun. We offer a full range of evening, weekend and after school activities
throughout the academic year, based in Basildon, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester and Tendring, whilst day trips during school
holidays are wider spread. The young people are always happy to welcome new InterActors to the groups!
Not ready for Group Activities? Ask us about
Our fantastic programme that links young
people with learning disabilities and special needs with peers and volunteers, guided by a Circles Co-ordinator. Young peers
provide volunteer support, friendship, mentoring, inclusion, skills development, confidence building and, of course, lots of FUN!
Are you registered with InterAct? We ask parents/carers to complete and return a signed registration form and risk
assessment before their son, daughter or the young person in their care can take part in their first InterAct activity. Please
download these forms from our website or give us a call.
If you’re feeling a bit shy or unsure if InterAct is for you, ask about “Taster Days” with one of the team. We are only a call away.

Important News
To enable us to provide fair and equal access to, and resourcing for, activities we will be introducing a booking system for term time activities with effect from 1st March.
Many of you will be familiar with the current online system for booking holiday activities. Bookings
will be taken weekly in advance, and will be accessible via our website. If this is not your preferred
system of booking please telephone or email—contact details can be found on page 2.
The team are always available to discuss this, and any other matters.
