Whether it’s a couple of hours at the movies, or a whole day at the zoo, our Activity Programme is bursting with fun things for young people to do, whilst giving parents/carers a break. We support young people to get out and about in the community, make friends, build new skills and try new activities. We offer a full range of evening, weekend and after school activities throughout the academic year, based in Basildon, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester and Tendring, whilst day trips during school holidays are wider spread. The young people are always happy to welcome new InterActors to the groups! Not ready for Group Activities? Ask us about our fantastic programme that links young people with learning disabilities and special needs with peers and volunteers, guided by a Circles Co-ordinator. Young peers provide volunteer support, friendship, mentoring, inclusion, skills development, confidence building and, of course, lots of FUN! Are you registered with InterAct? We ask parents/carers to complete and return a signed registration form and risk assessment before their son, daughter or the young person in their care can take part in their first InterAct activity. Please download these forms from our website or give us a call. If you’re feeling a bit unsure if InterAct is for you, ask about “Taster Days” with one of the team. We are only a phone call away. www.interact.org.uk 01245 608206 InterAct (Chelmsford) [email protected] @interactchelm Moulsham Mill, Parkway, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 7PX 2 Booking News: Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for using our new booking system and hope that you have found it both efficient and effective. It allows us to allocate places as fairly as possible, and also to further promote activities, if we have spaces once the booking deadline has passed. We understand that once you have booked your place, circumstances can change. Please let us know as soon as possible if this is the case so we can offer your space to someone else. Unfortunately any cancellations made less than two days before the activity takes place will have to be charged. Important Information: Please ensure that young people wear suitable clothing and are provided with appropriate food and drink or money to purchase refreshments during activities. Please inform staff of any food intolerances before events. InterAct cannot offer personal care/one-to-one support but young people may bring a carer. Please tick the `Carer’ box when booking and we will contact you to confirm arrangements. 3 Meet InterAct’s Young People Team We have the enthusiasm, commitment, confidence and ability to identify with young people; we are passionate about our work and wish to inspire young people to aspire to and achieve their full potential.
