GTB/Velociti Racing Brushless Systems
The GTB/Velociti Brushless Systems from Novak are fast, powerful and designed to race.
They include all of the extra performance-enhancing components required for world-class
racing, making them ready-to-race straight out of the box with nothing extra to buy or
install. Each system includes Novak’s premier GTB Programmable Racing Brushless/Brush
Speed Control factory-wired to one of five Novak Velociti motors.
GTB 4-cell/SS Pro Brushless Systems
To meet the needs of the popular 4-cell brushless racing classes, Novak introduced the
SS Pro Brushless Motor combined with a factory-wired GTB 4-Cell Programmable Racing
Brushless/Brush ESC. The versatile 4-cell ESC can be used with either brushless or brushed
motors and has no brushed motor limit. The GTB ESC is also fully programmable with a
user-friendly interface. The SS Pro motor is equipped with outstanding features, including
the ROAR-approved, Nickel-plated Sintered Neodymium rotor, ribbed end bells and thermal
overload protection. The Novak GTB 4-Cell/SS Pro Brushless Systems include everything to
be race-ready, so there is nothing extra to buy or install.
GTB/ss pro Brushless Systems
The SS Pro Brushless Motors are designed after Novak’s premier Velociti Series Racing brushless motors. Three SS Pro Brushless Motor/GTB systems are available, including the SS13.5
Pro Stock Brushless Motor, which is similar to a 27-turn racing stock brush motor. The SS Pro
Brushless Motors are sensor based for excellent starting torque and low-speed driveability,
and factory wired to the easily programmable GTB. The GTB ESCs have multiple adjustable
parameters in the brushless and brushed mode. The SS Pro motor series is equipped with all
of the great standard features found on all Novak brushless motors, including oversized front
bearing, thermal overload protection and a convenient solder tab system.

The Velociti Light Brushless Motor series offers a different
feel to Velociti without sacrificing top speed.
The Velociti Light sensor-based motors use a smaller gauge
wire for the motor winds, providing slower acceleration
and softer braking power — plus reduces its weight. These
motor characteristics allow the Velociti Light motors to excel
in slippery and tight track conditions, and are ideal for
off-road and specific on-road applications. The Velociti Lights
are easily differentiated from the original Velociti motors by a
cool, blue anodized motor sleeve.

The Velociti Brushless Motor Series is Novak’s
fastest competition brushless motor series.
Each sensor-based motor is designed for racing
and is capable of reaching speeds fast enough to
satisfy the needs of all racers. Each motor features
a higher-strength sintered magnet for top racing

EX Sport Brushless Systems
Novak’s EX Sport Brushless Systems have incredible power and starting torque, yet still
boast longer run times. These systems are budget-friendly, allowing R/C enthusiasts the
ability to upgrade to the pro performance of the SS-Series of motors. The XBR Sport
Brushless ESC has four throttle profiles and is completely programmable. It is also the
first Novak ESC to include Auto-Detect Brush Mode and Built-in Motor Rotation Selector.
Each EX Sport Brushless System is available with Novak’s new XBR Sport Brushless ESC
factory-wired to one of three EX Sport Brushless Motors.
GOAT CRAWLER Brushless System
Novak’s sensor-based Crawler Brushless System, which is affectionately named the Goat, is
equipped with four driving profiles that enable crawlers to climb over, maneuver through and
conquer the most challenging terrain. The Goat ESC has a Fully-Programmable Interface,
using Novak’s easy One-Touch button and four LEDs. The Goat ESC has been outfitted with a
rugged 6 volt / 5 amp BEC to provide powerful and precise steering. It also employs an
exclusive active drag brake that uses battery power to slow the vehicle to a wheel-locking
stop. The Crawler Brushless Motor is available individually or factory-wired to the Goat ESC.
HV HIGH-VOLTAGE Brushless Systems
Novak’s HV Brushless Systems are geared for high-voltage applications such as the
Traxxas® E-Maxx™, Kyosho® Twin Force™, Tamiya® TXT™ , Hot Bodies® E-Zilla™ and
HPI® E-Savage™ Trucks. The High-Voltage system includes one HV High-Voltage Brushless
ESC factory-wired to either the HV4.5 or HV6.5 High-Voltage Brushless Motors. The two
work seamlessly together to provide the ideal system for high-voltage applications. This
dynamic system allows significantly higher speeds and longer run times than traditional
dual brushed motor systems with minimal maintenance.

The GTB 4-Cell ESCs offer all the same high-tech
features and performance as the original GTBs but
are geared specifically for 4-cell applications. The
GTB 4-Cell ESCs are ideal for 1/12–scale on-road, and 1/12
or 1/10-scale pan car oval. They include six throttle profiles
specifically designed for 4-cell racing. The 4-cell models have
a 30% smaller height profile (due to the absence of a heat
sink and cooling fan) to accommodate smaller vehicles.

The XBR Sport is an affordable, full-featured speed control that is compatible with
both brushless and brushed motors. The XBR
offers the longer runtimes and the minimal maintenance of brushless, yet it also gives the ultimate
performance on race day with a brushed motor.
The small and lightweight XBR is equipped with
many of the same features as Novak’s top-of-theline GTX Racing ESC. It is the first Novak ESC to
include two great features new to Novak products:
Auto-Detect Brush Mode and Built-in Motor
Rotation Selector. It contains multiple throttle
profiles with full programmability, all without
the need for a computer laptop. Four status LEDs
make programming very user-friendly. Other
features include Smart Braking II™ and a waterresistant case. The XBR Sport has an 8.5-turn
brushless motor limit (no brush motor limit) and
is compatible with Novak’s SS Pro and EX Sport
series brushless motors.
The XRS is small in size and price, and is the
ideal RTR upgrade. While its price is low, the
little reversible ESC has a 15-turn motor limit and
is full of features. The XRS includes Novak’s OneTouch Set-Up™ for easy speed control adjustment;
Smart Braking II™ for easy “shifting” from forward
to reverse; factory-installed Tamiya bullet and
motor connectors for easy “plug and play” installation; and Thermal Overload Protection.
The Rooster 12T is a powerful, robust,
reversible ESC that can handle motors
down to 12-turns. The Rooster 12T features
Reverse Disable and Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry within
its four throttle profiles. It also features Novak’s
Smart Braking II™ so users can easily “shift” from
forward to reverse. Its water-resistant case and
Thermal Overload Protection provide additional

The Mongoose Micro Brushless/
Brush ESC is specifically developed
for micro applications. In addition to
its compatibility with both brushless and
brushed motors, it instinctively knows via
its Auto-Detect Brushed Mode when a
brushed motor is connected. Multiple

Sentry Sensor Harnesses Included
Take a peek at how your car
is performing
Novak has fashioned a way to take
a sneak peek into how your car is
performing. Simply plug it in, and
the Novak Sentry Data Logger will
measure and record information from
several tiny sensors placed in your R/C
car. The Sentry stores the collected
data to be later reviewed on your
personal computer. The Sentry’s small
size and weight allow it to fit easily
inside any R/C car, and operate on
very low voltage.
There are two versions of the Data
Logger. The Sentry Data Logger
(#2000) is ideal for all R/C cars, and
includes six sensors that record the
temperature in three places, throttle/
steering, voltage and RPM. In addition to the detachable sensors, each
Sentry is equipped with a built-in XY
Accelerometer. The Sentry Data Logger – Pro (#2010) can also be used
with all R/C cars and includes four
extra Digital Sensors and Expander
Board, and a Current Sensor.

Data Logger can present all of the
information in a graph or spreadsheet format, and can play back a
stored run or view a run in Real Time.
The saved logs can also be organized
in a summary format, and drivers
can also document their comments
about each run and different car setups in the notes section of the Sentry
Data Logger.
