Spring is upon us!! Exciting changes in my near future. Every day I wake up, I am
blessed to get to live another day! So many awesome people in my life.
Kim's Excellent Adventures
Girls Day Out I was excited to start February out with a day of fun and food with Shelly! We use to see each other all the time at work but she moved and
now we have to schedule our sister time!! New pretty toes, lunch, shopping and lots of good talk!
Live Theatre: This month the show was Funny Money at TCTA. Jim and I started out at Quinton's
for dinner. They always have great sandwiches! The show was pretty funny!
Meetings: Developing a new business includes a lot of mettings. I am working to build my support system and foundation to my next adventure! EVery meeting
makes me more excited about the new website.
Creatively BOLD Enterprises, LLC: This month I started my new business. It includes The Topeka Newsletter, EverythingTopeka.com, Accounting Plus, and
Theatre Bus Trips are now all rolled into one! Since I want to help the community, I have reached out to the community to help!
TSA Precheck : I have wanted to do this since the first time they gave it to me! It wasn't hard. You complte an application , go in and give
them our fingeer prints and pay the fee!
Day in Kansas City: I had planned on staying home and working but I got a phone call from my friend JJ. She really needed some Kim fun time! She came to
Topeka and we headed to Kansas City to shop and go dancing! Why are last minute plans always the best times!! We ended up at Fuel and The Kansa Hall. I was
the DD so my night was full of people watching and having fun watching JJ have a great time. She is more than a friend, she is family! I can't wait until our
next adventure.
Day with Kolton: This little guy wasn't feeling 100% but he still wanted a slumber
party with his Kimmy! We made it a movie weekend! I love my time with this guy!!

Day with Kolton: This little guy wasn't feeling 100% but he still wanted a slumber
party with his Kimmy! We made it a movie weekend! I love my time with this guy!!
Blind Tiger - Mundane Monday: Well this Monday turned out differently than
most of our Mondays. After our beer, I wondered upon some friends playing live music
at The Blind Tiger! I intended on staying a short time but ended up staying pretty late!
What an awesome site to come upon! So many talented people in the world!!
Open House/New Businesses: Bajillion Agency & MotoVike Films. I was excited to be invited this party! So many young energized professionals coming
together to create collaborations. I believe that collaboration is the only way to go when you can find people you trust!! HHB BBQ catered the event and it was
AMAZING!!!
Krazy Karaoke: Ended the month at Pigskins for Krazy Karaoke with Robin!

Welcome to the Kansas Flint Hills Quilt Trail!
Driving through the countryside anywhere in the world you will likely
come across many barns. They drape the country in a multitude of
designs, colors and architecture. Some barns are painted to display
advertisements. However, a woman named Donna Sue Groves, from
Adams County, Ohio wanted to honor her mother by hanging a
colorful painted quilt block on her barn. Instead of just one quilt
block, she began a community project with twenty quilt blocks being
displayed along a driving trail to encourage visitors to travel through
the countryside. This was the start of the first quilt trail in America.
Quilt trails are organized all across the country. Quilt blocks are
displayed on barns around the countryside and mapped out for
tourists to follow these amazing works of art.
Join us on a scenic journey through the Flint Hills countryside to
celebrate the piecing together of beautiful quilt patterns, agricultural
heritage, agricultural history and culture, and promoting agritourism
and rural pride.
In celebration of Kansas Day, on January 29, all guests will receive free
admission to the museum to view the exhibit!

Food. We love it, fear it, and obsess about it.
We demand that our Government ensure that it is safe, cheap, and
abundant. In response, Government has been a factor in the production,
regulation, research, innovation, and economics of our food supply. It has
also attempted, with varying success, to change the eating habits of
Americans.
From the farm to the dinner table, explore the records of the National
Archives that trace the Government’s effect on what Americans eat.

Beethoven — Symphony No. 6 — Pastoral
Young Artist Competition Winner
Britten — Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes
2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the tornado which tore through Topeka. We
remember the storm at this evening’s concert of the World in Storm. We will
play Benjamin Britten’s stormy and dramatic Four Sea Interludes from the
opera Peter Grimes and offer perhaps the most famous of all storm music,
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, the Pastoral. The Pastoral features a musical
thunderstorm, including the calm before the storm, the raging storm itself, and
the quiet afterwards, and will provide us an opportunity to reflect on the storm
of 1966 and the years following as Topekans rebuilt. This will be a moving and
powerful evening for all.

While there is lots of great reading to be
found in the average used bookstore we
choose to sell books as commodities and
not as consumables. This means that the
books you purchase from Oddfellow's will
find a permanent home on your bookshelves
and not get passed on after reading. Our
books include the rare and out-of-print,
books from the 19th century and earlier,
leather-bound beauties, and new books by
local authors as well as a ever expanding
selection of modern fiction. We also pride
ourselves on having a large selection of
books about Topeka and all of Kansas
including books by local authors. Whatever
subject you love, we have a book for you!
Please continue to check back as we expand
our website. Soon we will have a link to our
online catalog and an events calendar to
keep you up-to-date on author signings and
other events around the store.

This drought is causing many foundation and concrete slab
settlement problems!
KB Mudjacking LLC. of Perry Kansas has inspected many foundation
problems in our careers, and if only people knew how to care for
their foundations they could have avoided thousands of dollars in
repair cost or minimized their damage.
Cafe Holliday
800 SW 12th St
232-2188
The primary reason so many people have foundation problems lay
beneath their feet, its called “highly expansive clay soil”. Movement
of foundations is a common problem in northeast Kansas, due to
highly expansive clay soil and changing weather conditions. This
drought continues to plague us all. As the moisture content
reduces in the soil due to this drought the clay shrinks and your
foundation, walkways, and driveways settle.
Do you have windows and doors that won’t close? Does your
basement wall have cracks? Do you think your house is falling down
around you? Is money tight? Then you came to the right place!!
Whatever structure you need repaired, big or small KB Mudjacking
LLC a locally family owned and operated Mudjacking and
Foundation Repair Company will be there for your repairs at the
lowest possible cost, and help you regain your properties value.
There are no tricks up our sleeves, just good old fashion tried and
proven construction methods that have been time tested to fix
your foundation issues. So don’t put it off any longer that only
leads to further damage and costly repairs. Give KB Mudjacking a
call today and one of the Keating Brothers themselves will visit you
soon.

Photography is about reflecting who you are, at your best. You
want to share what's important to you with the whole world,
and I can make that happen. The photos you'll treasure your
whole life aren't the unnatural poses with faces pointed at the
camera. When you look through your memories years later,
what you want is something that will bring you right back to
how you felt that day. Your fingers brushing across your new
husband's face as you gaze up at him, the fire in your eyes the
day before your big game, the look that charmed everyone,
and the spark that just lights up the room. That's what you
need to capture, and for that, you need a photographer that
doesn't see you as just another shoot.
