400,000 people in our region are living with mental illness.
We believe it’s time for a change in mental health care.
So we’re constructing a healing place for the mind and body on our West 5th Campus. In addition
to being home to St. Joseph’s mental health and addiction services, the new 800,000 square-foot
building will offer medical care and diagnostic services for all residents of our region. The new building
embodies our long-standing belief that it’s time for mental illness to be regarded as what it is…an illness,
just like any other.
1 donation can make a difference.
With the kind support of people like you, we’ll be providing
timeless care, and making tomorrow’s research discoveries for
generations to come. Please give generously to St. Joe’s and
watch your donation DOUBLE.

S T . J OSEPH ’ S H EALTHCARE F OUNDATION
Benvenuti! A Warm Roman Welcome to our Holiday Gala:
On behalf of our Foundation Board and formidable Gala Committee, we would like to extend
a special welcome to you as we gather for the 14th Annual St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation
Holiday Gala.
This year, our gala is themed around the 1953 romantic comedy, “Roman Holiday,” starring
Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Fittingly, this gala evening will include a breathtaking escape
to Italy to be won, and coveted vintage wines to be collected. So please, enjoy every moment of
your escape to Rome in the 1950s.
No matter how you choose to participate in this evening, you can rest assured that your money
is going to a tremendous cause – St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation. Funds raised through this
evening’s event will support the vital health and research focused priorities of Timeless Care,
Tomorrow’s Discoveries – The Campaign for St. Joseph’s Healthcare.
Your support, along with that of our generous sponsors and donors, is sure to make this evening a
resounding success. We thank you for your continued support of St. Joseph’s and we wish you a

17,000 surgeries are performed each year at our Charlton Campus.
We believe in cutting edge care.
That’s why we’ve opened a state-of-the-art surgical centre on our Charlton Campus. The centre features
12 new operating rooms equipped with the latest image-guided, robotic and minimally invasive surgical
equipment. It’s also home to a 50-bed day surgery unit. For more than 17,000 surgical patients that
we treat each year, the new surgical centre will mean surgeries with smaller incisions that heal faster
with less scarring. Essentially enabling us to make our surgical patients feel better…sooner.

imagineyourdonation
doubled!
For a limited time, when you make a gift to St. Joe’s,
Charles & Margaret Juravinski will match it dollar-for-dollar.
Double the impact of your donation.
It’s that simple.
“we’re not horsing around”
When we owned Flamborough Downs Racetrack, we
became very familiar with a horse-racing wager called
the Daily Double. We like to think of this matching
program as our own variation. Giving to St. Joe’s is
a sure way to make your donation double.
