ourth of July fireworks or Olympics kick off parties in your future? Stylist
Linda Martinez headed to local boutiques Sloan and Capitol to demonstrate
how to show your love for the USA in style.
We opted not to hire models and with local ladies like these, why would we? You
might recognize Liz Hilliard, Maria Owen, and Jennifer Shelton from out and around
town. The ladies are staples on the Charlotte scene, graciously supporting our arts
and nonprofit events in style. You’re also apt to find them getting their model-like
physiques at Hilliard Studio Method®– Liz’s training studio she created with her
daughter, Clary. The mother daughter team created a core-centric, pilates-based
workout incorporating hand weights, resistance training, intense isometric positions,
floor and ballet barre work that has gained them quite a following. Having visited the
studio ourselves, we now understand how these photos remained airbrush-free. And
once we can walk again, we plan on going back.
