Tile art - Gasparre Tiles
Tile art A strip drain picks up shower water and also acts as a main design feature. Two bathrooms show just how much can be achieved with a host of high-end finishes at your fingertips 166 www.completehome.com.au Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly www.completehome.com.au Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly 167 It takes clever design to make the most of a small bathroom and its limited area. But the designer who tries to do this in not one but two bathrooms will really have their work cut out for them. A common theme throughout is the presence of stunning tiles, sourced from Gasparre Tiles. Ranging from a mix of glazed white rectified to dark-veined porcelain tiles, the two bathrooms showcase the variety of choice on offer at Gasparre. These clients had one bathroom on the ground floor and another up on the first floor of their home. Their main design considerations were to have the bath separate to the shower in a limited space on the first floor, while on the ground floor laundry facilities had to be concealed within the bathroom. In the neutral ground-floor bathroom, Impact Design & Construct has incorporated a concealed washing machine and laundry fixtures, a frameless glass shower screen, vanity with polyurethane doors and drawer fronts and stone benchtops, plus a full-height fixed and awning combination window of opaque glass. A strip drain not only picks up shower water but also acts as a main design feature. Head upstairs to the first-floor bathroom, which has a P50 shadowline wall/ceiling junctions, Smartwaste floor wastes, recessed shelf, a suspended vanity and frameless glass shower screens. The bathrooms in this property could best be described as stylish, striking and contemporary. With the addition of dramatic wall tiles from Gasparre Tiles and crisp, modern finishes and fixtures, these spaces really pop.
