Come ride at Lang’s where “We make riding Fun.” ENGLISH LESSONS: *A toddler private lesson is a 30 minute private class with an instructor. This is a great way to start your young rider started. This class costs $25. Ages 2 1/2 - 5 years. *A semi-private lesson is two or more friends or family members riding together. We charge $30 for a 1 hour class or $40 for a 1.5 hour class. These lessons are offered seven days a week by appointment. HORSEMANSHIP LESSONS: We offer beginner, and intermediate English style riding lessons. We specialize in starting riders, helping them get acquainted with the basics of good horsemanship and centered riding. We also love helping Adult riders get back into riding. We offer flat classes with a strong emphasis on equitation. We do not offer jumping classes. Lesson Options: *A private lesson is a one-hour class with an instructor. The cost is $40 per session. All new clients need to take a minimum of one private lesson before joining in a group lesson. Becoming a real horseman, or horse woman, is more than just riding. We can teach you to catch, groom, and saddle up your horse. We also cover basic first aid, and what to do in emergency situations. Lunging , ground control, and showmanship can be taught. We also practice bareback riding in theses classes. These classes are strongly recommended for anyone leasing a horse, or any one who would like to qualify for leasing. *A group riding lesson is a 1.5 hour class and will have 3 to 5 riders per class. These classes happen during the week and on the weekends. Please call to get the current class schedule as the class times change during each season of the year. The cost is $30 per class, or $100 for a series of 4 lessons. GAMING AND BARREL RACING LESSONS 21463 Little Mountain Road Mount Vernon, WA 98274 www.comeride.com We give lessons to advanced riders interested in learning more about this great sport. We do not take riders who need to learn how to ride a horse. Riding a fast, athletic animal running nearly 40 miles an hour and turning sharp turns requires knowledge and precision timing. All riders must pass a proficiency riding test prior to signing up for these classes. Classes run 2 hours with time to tack up, warm up your horse, and cool them out at the end of class. Each rider will be required to make some tack purchases in order to participate in this program. Call for more information. We also offer leasing programs for experienced riders 11 years and older. Talk to your riding instructor about weather this would be a a good program for you. FRIENDLY REMINDERS: We offer a six week Group Lesson course for riders of all ages. Each rider must commit to no less than 4 of the 6 classes in the series. The following group lesson times are available from September - November. All group classes need a minimum number of riders in order to happen. We will cancel classes that do not fill, and move those students to other lesson times that can work for their schedule. If you are going to miss a lesson, you need to give the farm at least 2 hours notice. You can leave a message on the farm phone on the number 2 mailbox. All last minute cancellations will be charged for the class. Riders must come dressed appropriately for lessons. If it is raining bring a rain coat. If it is cold, dress in layers and bring gloves. For riding lessons cowboy boots, hiking boots, english boots, paddock boots, or rain boots are acceptable. Tennis shoes are not acceptable on any rider wanting to go faster than a walk. The farm has a selection of loaner boots that may be worn for lessons. Equestrian riding helmets are required for all riders 18 years and younger. Helmets are encouraged for all adults, but not required. You may borrow a helmet free of charge from the helmet tent for your lessons. Private and Semi-private lessons are scheduled by appointment. We offer these classes when there are no group classes already using the arena. Prices for 4 group lessons is $100, for six group lessons $150. Private lessons are $40 per hour.
