New Moon Festival All Ages Saturday, September 12th 6:30 - 9:30 pm SPECIAL EVENTS 2015 LATE SPRING/SUMMER Prairie Oak Nature Center Ironwoods Park • 14701 Mission Road 36 Autumn has always been associated with a bright, full Moon. From Harvest Festivals to Halloween, the full moon brings many memories. The brightness of the full moon often obscures stars and scare animals into hiding. The new moon is darker, allowing us to see most of the night sky. It is also less scarier for the animals and easier for us to view them in their habitat. Come to Ironwoods Park to view and enjoy the night sky. Attend a night safari on our nature path and enjoy our campfire. The local astronomy club will give a sky tour of constellations. Light refreshments will be provided. Rain out date October 13th. One - 3 hour session. Activity Code 204301-1 • Min 5 Max 20 • Fee $12/Resident Discounted Fee $10
