PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Gilsonite Asphalt Seal provides a black pavement sealer
composed of hard gilsonite asphalt resin in solution in relatively
fast drying solvents. It adds asphalt resins to aging blacktop
as well as sealing and protecting the pavement against the
effects of weathering. Gilsonite Asphalt Seal is the easiest of
the pavement sealers to apply, and it gives a deep, black finish
with a bit of sheen. Unlike water base sealers, it will not be
damaged by freezing weather, nor will it wash off if caught by
a rain shower before completely dry.
USES
Gilsonite Asphalt Seal protects and beautifies asphalt driveways, playgrounds, tennis courts and parking
lots. It replenishes the asphalt resins in asphaltic pavement and gives limited protection against gasoline
and oil damage.
LIMITATIONS
Gasoline and oil spills should be washed off promptly. Long term pooling of these spills will dissolve the
coating and damage the asphalt pavement. This is a solvent based material and should be kept away
from flames.

PREPARATION
Surface must be clean and dry. Thoroughly sweep with a stiff broom. Cracks larger than hairline should be
filled with pourable crack sealer or Instant Asphalt Parch. Pourable crack sealer must cure before applying
pavement sealer.
APPLICATION
This coating may be sprayed or rolled onto the surface using a medium to heavy roller. Apply as thinly as
possible, not allowing puddles to form in low lying areas. Material Safety Data Sheets available.

Chemtron warrants that this product is of merchantable quality and suitable for the purpose for which it is
intended. But does not make any other warranty, express or implied. Chemtrons liability under this warranty
shall be limited to the replacement of its product found to be defective. Users shall determine the suitability
of the intended application.
