the best in 2013! December was yet
again a month of wonderful memories
with all of our PA family. Our first annual
Badge Day Testing was a great success
with all of our students passing their
Pink, Purple, Blue and Green levels with
flying colors. Our first annual Stepping
Stone Series Awards Ceremony &
Christmas Party was a magical event
thanks to all the efforts of the parent
volunteers who helped us transform the
stables into a Christmas Wonderland.
An important community initiative A
“Pony” for Christmas was also
launched this month and we invite
everyone to support and share this
wonderful event.
The New Year is sure to bring us many
more memories and we look forward to
sharing all our adventures with our PA
family. If 2012 was great, then 2013 is
sure to be positively spectacular!

2013 Outlook- Program at a Glance
Pony Pals Horsemanship Club
A great way to meet new pony-loving friends while gaining in-depth knowledge
of the behind the scenes stable management and care of your equine partners!
Club meetings are organized & run by a Canadian Pony Club regional
examiner. The club works towards educating riders to reach the next level in the
Partridge Levels of Horsemanship, Stable Management section. The Club is
offered for all ages that are within the Purple, Blue, Green or Yellow sections of
“Stable Management” within the Partridge Levels of Horsemanship curriculum.
The Club also includes specialty activities such as Gymkhana Day (Mounted
Games) & Partridge Camping & Bonfire Night, and Movie Night (mini-sleepover)
in the Hay Loft!
Riders do not need to be regular Partridge lesson students to join. Members do
not need to have any riding experience to join. We welcome everyone!
Registration is for the year and also covers the cost of Badge Day Testing (value
of $25). $120 annual membership (inc. HST). It is a non-refundable payment and
paid at the start of the year. Riders wishing to join the Club after the start of the
year may do so at a pro-rated fee, however Badge Day Testing will be an
additional fee of $25.
The Club Meetings are listed below. Meeting run 6pm-7:30pm on Fridays unless
otherwise noted- i.e. special activity times will vary and will be announced.
First Club Meeting of 2013 is FRIDAY JANUARY 25th @6-7:30pm & it is a FREE
COMPLINENTARY Meeting for everyone to enjoy! Please spread the news and
bring your friends!
2013 Registration (at $120 annual membership which also includes the Bonus
Badge Day Testing Fee) is due on February 20th 2013. *SPECIAL* if you have a
friend or sibling who also wishes to register for Pony Pals Camp, both of you will
receive $10 OFF your annual membership.

This opportunity is offered to contestants who have an unfulfilled love for ponies and
who due to family financial hardship are not able to make that dream come true. The
lease will be at no cost to the contest winner and will include one lesson/ride per week
and free entry in one class at any Partridge Acres Stepping Stone Horse Show. The focus
of this lease will be on enjoying ponies and fostering a love and knowledge for them
over the course of the year.
Contest entrants need to be aged 4-11 years old as of January 1, 2013, be able to
make a one-year commitment and be able to be transported to and from Partridge
Acres.
Please write to us and tell us why you would love and deserve to win this contest and
what benefits this experience would give you. What would it mean to you to be able to
have your very own pony one day a week for the next year? With your entry please
include information of your financial need (this information will remain private).
All entries must be received by January 15th 2013 at which point they will be posted on
Partridge Acres' A "Pony" For Christmas Event page (aka this page) for public voting. The
announcement of the winner will be made on January, 31st 2013. The stories should be
200 words or less and remain anonymous (i.e. for public posting we do not want any
specific names mentioned). However, in the actual submission please include your full
name and contact information.
