you can innovate faster, make more-informed decisions, and drive profitability throughout your organization.
You have heard that “every experience matters.” Our combined event offers you three days of experiences that matter – advancing
your relationship with SAP, our partner ecosystem, ASUG, and your colleagues and peers who share the same challenges every day.
Together, SAP and ASUG offer you more than 1,700 opportunities to explore the most important and relevant topics for your needs.
And as you explore, remember that all sessions and all three floors of the convention center are open to you as a registered
attendee. Keep that in mind as you use the Agenda Builder on www.sapandasug.com or the mobile app to find the content that
meets your goals.
As IT professionals – whether working for SAP or a partner or as a member of an organization in the public sector or in private industry
– we are all dedicated to driving growth and innovation. Our united goal is to enable our employees and members – and our companies and organizations – to unleash their full potential. To do more with less and make it simpler, whatever our industry or line of business. We must welcome the promises of Big Data, the cloud, and enterprise mobility while safeguarding all we have built over these
years. Our collective experience drives real advantage and real results for our businesses. This week, we invite you to discover, interact, and be inspired as you learn how SAP and the user community can help you and your organization reduce complexity, run better

retirement in March 2010.
Tuesday, June 3, 4:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
Captain Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III has been dedicated to the
pursuit of safety for his entire adult life. While he is best known for serving as Captain during what has been called the “Miracle on the Hudson,”
Sullenberger is an aviation safety expert and accident investigator, serves
as the CBS News Aviation and Safety Expert, and is the founder and chief
executive officer of Safety Reliability Methods Inc., a company dedicated
to management, safety, performance, and reliability consulting.
Born and raised in Denison, Texas, Sullenberger pursued his childhood
love of aviation at the United States Air Force Academy. In his graduation
year at the academy, he received the Outstanding Cadet in Airmanship
Award. In addition to his bachelor’s degree in psychology, he also has two
master’s degrees, one in industrial psychology from Purdue University
and one in public administration from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has an honorary Doctorate of Letters from Purdue University.
Upon graduation from the Academy, Sullenberger served as a fighter
pilot for the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1980. He advanced to
become a flight leader and a training officer, attaining the rank of captain.
During his active duty, he was stationed in North America and Europe.
Prior to gaining worldwide attention, Sullenberger was an active and
ardent safety advocate throughout his four-decade-long career. He was
selected to perform accident investigation duties for the United States Air
Force, and served as an Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) representative
during a National Transportation Safety Board investigation. Additionally,
Sullenberger served as a Local Air Safety Chairman for ALPA, and was a

safely guided US Airways Flight 1549 to an emergency water landing
in New York City’s frigid Hudson River. The Airbus A320’s two engines
had lost thrust following a bird strike. Sullenberger and his crew received
international acclaim for their actions that day, including the passage of

Thursday, June 5, 9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Who says enterprise software can’t be fun? Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon,
and Dennis Miller get your morning off to a humorous start. See how
these three Saturday Night Live alums will change your view of the
world, technology, your industry, and your job. Blending funny with

Don’t miss this laugh- and thought-provoking finale to SAPPHIRE NOW
and ASUG Annual Conference, and you’ll be smiling all day.
Emmy Award–winning comedian Dana Carvey has maintained an
illustrious career. While a student at San Francisco State University,
he won the San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition. After
graduation and countless club appearances, he became a regular
on Saturday Night Live in 1986. Carvey left SNL after seven very
successful seasons, establishing his best-known characters: The
Church Lady, Hans from body-building duo Hans and Franz, Grumpy
Old Man, and Garth, the “most excellent” co-host to Mike Myers in the
immensely popular Wayne’s World.
In addition to these characters, Dana has received widespread praise
for his uncanny comedic impersonations of such political figures as
George H. W. and George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, H. Ross Perot, Ronald
Reagan, and Barak Obama, as well as Johnny Carson, Andy Rooney,
Regis Philbin, and Casey Kasem, as seen on his recent SNL hosting
appearance, his HBO special, and on Jay Leno and David Letterman
shows.
In addition to headlining theaters and casino showrooms, Dana is one
of the most requested comedians for corporate and private events.

Since 2007, Dennis Miller has been heard five days a week on his
nationally syndicated Westwood One Radio talk show, The Dennis Miller
Show. He is also a regular contributor for The O’Reilly Factor on FOX
News Channel.
It’s been said that Miller is “One of the premiere comedy talents in
America today…” While others are blunt assessing Miller’s comedic
stature, Dennis himself makes a virtue of understatement, but there is
nothing low-key about his career.
Miller is a five-time Emmy Award winner for his critically acclaimed
half-hour, live talk show Dennis Miller Live, which had a nine-year
run on HBO. He also wrote and starred in the Emmy-nominated cable
comedy special The Raw Feed. His eighth special for HBO, Dennis
He has also been cast in films, usually in dramatic roles. Dennis has
also achieved success in the literary arena with four books that have

Update” correspondent on Saturday Night Live for six years, before
exiting in 1991.
Over the years, Miller has become both a public and critical favorite.
“The Hollywood Reporter” called his most recent special “an hour
of topical, scathing brilliance that helps cement Miller’s status as the

unique sense of humor, dry wit, and likeable demeanor. Nealon is best
known for his nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC’s Saturday Night
Live. He has also received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime
series Weeds, which recently completed its eighth and final season.
Nealon has found great comedic success in his extensive film career.
Most recently, Kevin starred alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer

comedy Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star. In 2010, Nealon completed
work on the film And They’re Off, a comedy with Sean Astin and

As one of the longest running cast members on NBC’s Saturday Night

Every experience matters. Keep that in mind, because everything you do and everyone you meet during this week could
make the difference on your project, for your business, and for
your own career. And you could be the difference on their
project, for their business, and for their career.
It’s a philosophy ASUG members live every day: Our collective
experience drives real advantage and real results for our businesses. Our collective voice influences SAP product development and software strategies.
So walk up to that session speaker after his presentation. Talk

invites you to share your input on what works and what doesn’t.
Make Influence a part of your agenda to discuss new ideas,
share business and technology challenges, and innovate with
other ASUG members and SAP.
During your time here in Orlando, take advantage of these
unique, on-site, Influence experiences:
• Get strategic insight on long-range product development and
learn how ASUG members are shaping future solutions by
attending an Influence Council session. The schedule of meetings is available in the mobile app and the Agenda Builder at
www.sapandasug.com.
• Meet with the Influence teams from ASUG and SAP
• Be introduced to the asug.com discussion page where
councils collaborate

ASUG ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Benchmarking
ASUG and SAP Benchmarking and Best Practices is a collaborative program launched in 2004. The program allows ASUG
members, at no cost, to understand the value of their business
processes and technology investments and offers a chance to
benchmark their performance against others in the industry. To
date, the program has received more than 10,000 benchmarking and 3,500 best-practice survey submissions from more than
4,000 companies.
Surveys are developed and analyzed by value engineers from
SAP and industry leaders to allow members to discover what
fuels success and innovation at their organizations. Here at
ASUG Annual Conference, attendees will be able to take
surveys, explore benchmarking studies, and speak with
analysts to understand how you can implement surveys in
your organization.

agree to provide your badge to any exhibitor for scanning, which
allows the exhibitor to collect your information and use it for
future marketing purposes. You agree that SAP and ASUG
have no control, responsibility, or liability associated with any

CONFERENCE LOGISTICS

Wireless Internet Access
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available for
conference attendees. However, we encourage attendees with
3G/4G cellular data service to use that as your primary means
of connectivity to ensure that attendees without cellular data
service have optimal performance.
To provide you with a better experience on the show floor and in
the common space, two wireless networks (SSIDs) are available
for attendee use:
•Orlando2014 on 5.0 GHz network (iPhone 5/5s, iPads, tablets,
and laptops)
•Orlando2014_OLD on 2.4 GHz network (iPhone 4/4s, iPod
Touch, most smartphones, and older laptops)
|
www.asug.com
Important: Due to the number of attendees and limitations of
Wi-Fi technology, the wireless networks can become
oversaturated quickly in high-density environments. This is
especially true for most smartphones and older laptops that
use the 802.11g (2.4 GHz) protocol, which is limited to three
channels. Devices that use 802.11an (5.0 GHz) work more
efficiently in a high-density environment because 24 channels
are available. Newer laptops, iPhone 5, iPads, and some tablets
have wireless adapters capable of using this frequency. For best
performance, we strongly suggest that you use the cellular
service on your older 2.4 devices whenever possible.
Thank you to CenturyLink Technology Solutions for sponsoring
the Internet bandwidth service.
To maintain the integrity of the Wi-Fi service, do not use
devices such as MiFis, personal access points, and wireless
routers while at the conference. These devices will cause
additional interference for attendees, demos, and sessions.

Jon is the Chairman of The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which
provides solutions and opportunity for families and individuals
in economic despair. It is the organization’s purpose to assist in
establishing programs that provide food and affordable housing
for those affected by poverty and homelessness, while supporting social services and job training programs.
Since 2006, The Soul Foundation has helped provide over 360
units of affordable housing for people who were formerly homeless or of low income. In October 2011, the Foundation expanded by opening The JBJ Soul Kitchen to address issues of food
insecurity, and has since served over 20,000 meals. The community kitchen serves nutritious, culinary dishes in a restaurant
atmosphere where diners contribute either volunteer hours or a
minimum donation for their meals. As the Foundation continues
to expand, the goal is to assist with rebuilding pride in one’s self
and one’s community – one SOUL at a time.
