Col du Béal
On the climb to the mountain pass, open your visor and
take in the scents of the land: mushrooms, pine trees, wild
flowers… At the top, at an elevation of 1390 m, the upper plateaus are covered in bright green, yellow broom and purple
heather. Take the easily accessible 1,5 km trail to the foot of
the source under the blades of the wind turbine. At the viewpoint indicator, look out over the fascinating landscapes of the
peaks of the Alps and the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys.
On your way out, be sure to stop for bilberry tart at the inn.

Jean-Marie Jasserie: in this entirely restored mountain
hut, explore a typical summer pasture farm of the
Hautes Chaumes, where women and children made

Col des Supeyres – Jasseries
On the immense granite plateaus of this mountain pass,
covered with grasses and bilberry moorlands, there’s a feeling

Cunlhat
The legendary site of the Free Wheels rally that brought packs
of Harley Davidsons from 1989 to 2001, Cunlhat remains a
place of pilgrimage for lovers of the famous motorcycle from
Milwaukee.

Château de Vollore: a castle from the 12th, 17th and
19th centuries. The descendants of La Fayette still live
here today. A remarkable site with panoramic views,
rare collections of historical objects and elegantly
decorated apartments with rich furniture. Visit the
lovely terraced garden, the Japanese garden and the
vegetable garden. Evening visits during the summer
(by reservation to the Pays de Courpière Tourist Office

and hold painting exhibitions and concerts in July and
