We have been wearing Blundstone

girls (now ages 5 and 7) have been

This spring, work began on my sister
and brother-in-law’s new house. The house
is being constructed with natural building
techniques, including straw and clay walls.
I was eager to help out, but I was informed
that I needed to wear safety boots on the
construction site. Glad to have an excuse to

Blundstone boots really get around
Our boots are crafted from the best available leathers and components,
employing the expertise gained over 140-some years of bootmaking.
Leather is a natural material so your boots will benefit from the following
advice:
• If your boots get wet, stuff with newspaper to absorb the moisture and to keep
the shape of the boot. Always dry them at room temperature – never with
artificial heat!
• To keep the boots weatherproof and pliable, you should dress the leather with a
suitable wax based treatment after cleaning. We recommend the
use of our Blundstone Clear and Waxy sponge conditioner.
• Cleaning - A mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water is a perfect natural
cleaner for your boots.
• Take care of your boots, and your boots will take care of you.

Are Blundstone boots water resistant?
Our weatherproof leather is as water resistant as any leather can be, while still allowing the
foot to breathe. If properly cared for, they will prevent most water penetration, keeping your
feet warm and dry. Blundstone’s unique construction with a limited number of seams means
there are few places for water to get in. No leather boots are 100% waterproof.
What is SPS?
Blundstone’s Shock Protection System (SPS) disperses shock at heel strike and reduces
skeletal stress. SPS is incorporated into the boot construction to absorb energy from impact
at heel strike. Revolutionary tests indicate that an average of 33% less shock is transmitted
to the leg at a walking pace. This shock would otherwise be absorbed by your feet, knees
and vertebrae.
Can I put a footbed in my Blundstones?
Only use the extra pair of footbeds if you need
to snug up the fit. If the boots feel too tight
initially, please check to make sure the extra
pair of footbeds are not already in the boots.
Not everyone needs or wants the extra pair of
footbeds at first. Please hold onto the extra pair
of footbeds as you may want to use them after the boots have stretched out a little.
Do Blundstones come with a warranty?
Yes! All Blundstone products are fully guaranteed against defects in materials and
workmanship. Our warranty does not guarantee or imply an expectation of service life. In
simpler terms, Blundstone products are not guaranteed for a specific amount of time. We
fix what we can, and replace what we cannot. All warranty queries must be submitted from
the customer’s original place of purchase. “We stand by our products, and have been doing
so since 1870.”

Rule of Toe: For women subtract 2 1/2 t0 3 sizes from your Canadian
size. For men subtract 1 to 1 1/2 size from your Canadian size.
It is not abnormal for there to be some initial movement in the boot, particularly in the
heel area. Length is the most important element when trying them on. All Blundstone
boots have reinforced toes which help keep the shape of the boot intact. The boots
will never stretch in length. However, they will stretch and mold to the top of the feet,
and will easily stretch in width if required. If the fit is initially tight on the top of your
feet — be patient, it will stretch, or can be easily stretched by a cobbler.
