Saratoga High School Golf Team
I couldn't have been prouder to be called Coach for a great
group of students of our very own Saratoga Golf Team. We had
our first meet at Rochelle Ranch Golf course in Rawlins,
Wyoming. The gossip for the day was the wind condition….there
wasn't any!!! A perfect, beautiful day to play our first meet. The
kids said they felt pretty good with their swings; hitting a lot of
nice shots even though a few jumped up and got them.
This is the teams 2nd season, but my first year as being their
coach. I felt very welcomed by all the coaches and especially by
the host coach, Bob Steinberg, from Rawlins. Saratoga Middle
High School coach, Rex Hohnholt has also been very helpful
getting me situated in my new position. I really appreciate having the support.
Our next meet, is in Lusk, Wyoming held at Niobrara Country
Club then on to Sheridan, Wyoming. I have had a lot of fun
coaching so far and look forward to each meet coming up.

Where
Cortney and her family moved here from Michigan in 2008. Since
that time, her and her husband have enjoyed careers within the
criminal justice field. They met while attending the same private
college in a small town in rural Michigan. They have two young
sons who attend Saratoga community schools.
When asked why she would change careers so drastically she
answered’ “My true passion is being in the kitchen preparing
delicious food for people to enjoy. I have always enjoyed cooking,
but have developed a true appreciation for the art in the past few
years. It is important to me to prepare fresh meals using the highest
quality ingredients.”

Over the next couple months we are
implementing an aggressive maintenance
program to establish our new greens and tee
boxes. While we are doing this we need our
clientele to play on the temporary greens only
and allow the necessary time needed for the
greens and tees under repair to get
established.
