Design &
Manufacture
Computer simulation of the solidification process
and the subsequent cooling stresses during
contraction ensures casting shape and integrity
through optimum methoding of pattern and mould
design. Moulds are made with resin bonded sand
on both mechanised lines as well as floor moulding.
Castings are poured from a variety of closely
monitored induction melting units from 100 kgs to
3.75 tonnes.
Finished castings can be produced to
approximately 2.5m square weighing over 3 tonnes
in over 200 established alloy steels as well as nickel
based compositions.
Careful control of cooling and subsequent heat
treatment ensures optimum casting quality and
properties.
Following shotblast and fettling, castings are
inspected by qualified operatives using a variety of
techniques including dimensional control, MPI, DPI,
ultrasonic and radiographic examination. Castings
can be supplied to customer requirements in the
finished machined and painted condition.
The company operate a comprehensive production
control system enabling close control to be
maintained on all orders to expedite reliable delivery
information.
Quality Assurance
& Control
Noel Village Integrity Castings operate under an
overall quality assurance system which has
obtained the approval of a variety of statutory
bodies as well as a broad range of customers.

Recent Development - Vistar
The 21st Century Stainless Steel
Noel Village Integrity Castings focus on customer needs for
specialist, high performance materials and cast components in
steel and nickel based alloys. In response to such a need, the
company played a key role in the development of a new
stainless steel, Vistar, which offers marked improvements in
mechanical strength and corrosion resistance over existing
super austenitic and super duplex steels. Compared to nickel
based alloys it is significantly stronger and has better corrosion
and abrasion resistance for the great majority of hostile
applications. Importantly, Vistar has a lower raw material cost
than the 6 & 8% molybdenum grades.
