Craig Bickhardt
Folk Singer/Songwriter
Raised in the musical melting pot that was
1970’s Philadelphia, Charlie Phillips blends
a variety of genres including rock, soul, folk,
and blues to create an eclectic style and
fresh sound. His heartfelt, melody-driven
songs will leave you singing long after the
show is over.
”An elegant singer who will steal your heart
away if you let her” (Philadelphia Inquirer),
Phyllis Chapell performs a unique mix of
originals, folk, jazz and international music,
including songs in 13 languages.
With his trusty acoustic guitar, Philadelphia
native Craig Bickhardt presents the stories
of a lifetime, vividly translated into words and
melody through his powerful voice and virtuosic
guitar work. Bickhardt’s original songs have
been recorded by such legends as Ray Charles,
B.B. King, Johnny Cash, and Alison Krauss. The
stories of his lifetime are simply too good not to
share.

Thank you to our sponsors, community donors
and attendees of Arts Salute to Spring!
On April 28, 2013 we gathered at Penn Oaks Golf Club to celebrate 34 years
of art, music, dance, and drama with our annual live & silent auction.
Guests enjoyed special performances by Brandywine Jazz featuring Geri Smith (instructor) and special guest Lisa
Klinger (voice student), two performances by Darlington Dance Company, live fashion illustration artists, and a
performance by the Chester County Family Academy Suzuki Violin class, one of Darlington’s Outreach programs.
Board president Ann Anthony presented the Arts Service Award to Lorraine Andersen, founder of Chester County
Family Academy (CCFA), for her dedication to the arts through establishing an arts-based curriculum at CCFA.
Andersen has played an integral role in bringing Darlington’s Suzuki Violin Outreach Program to the school.
