Shalom!
And welcome to the second issue of the new
MJCCA Program Guide, the most
comprehensive program, event, and services
catalog we have ever created. This guide
is designed to help you rediscover the best
your MJCCA has to offer.
During the past few months, we have been
hard at work restructuring and
repositioning our services and programs to better serve
you, our valued member. This new programming guide is a
direct result of those efforts. In addition, after many months
of careful planning and development, we recently launched
our new and greatly improved website, www.atlantajcc.org,
designed to be user-friendly and infinitely more convenient.
Your feedback is important to us; please visit our new website
at www.atlantajcc.org and take a moment to create your
own personal email profile. There, you will discover another
one of our new initiatives: your ability to personalize the email
updates you receive from us by selecting your preferred
programs and locations.
We hope you and your family will take advantage of the
wonderful spring programs we have planned for you.
Remember, we are your MJCCA, and our doors are always
open to you — we welcome your comments and suggestions.

“PETER AND THE WOLF (AND ME)”
By Ari Roth
Directed by Joseph Megel
Running January 24 - March 4
Morris & Rae Frank Theatre, Zaban Park
Visit www.jplay.org for a complete
schedule of showtimes
While adapting Peter Sichrovsky’s Born Guilty for the theater,
playwright Ari Roth befriended this fellow second-generationHolocaust-survivor. But when the real-life Sichrovsky joins up with
his country’s Freedom Party, Roth’s characterization of Peter
begins to look like a highly romanticized version of the man. “How
does a man suddenly become a different man?” Can The Adapter
convince Peter to stand up to the Wolf?
“HANK KIMMEL’S SHORTS”
A World Premiere Comedy
by Atlanta Playwright Hank Kimmel
Directed by Mira Hirsch
Running April 25 - May 20
Morris & Rae Frank Theatre, Zaban Park
Visit www.jplay.org for a complete
schedule of showtimes.
A bright new voice has emerged
in the Atlanta theater — one
with a quiver of neuroses and
a hearty guffaw of hilarity. Hank
Kimmel’s Shorts is a Woody
Allen-esque romp through
suburbia, the workplace, blind
dating, parenting, little league
fields and your local
neighborhood pharmacy. It’s a
sometimes poignant, always
comic cornucopia of our daily
fears and eternal hopes,
featuring a crackerjack
ensemble of Atlanta’s best
comedic talent.
Critically-acclaimed concert pianist Jeffrey Siegel returns to the
MJCCA with his immensely popular Keyboard Conversation’s series –
a concert with commentary. For years, Siegel has been
entertaining and educating audiences with his exceptional
musical talents and his insightful and engaging commentary
make for an evening of magical musical and fascinating facts.
