learn how ancient Hawaiians used the
land from mountains to the ocean
(ahupuaʻa). Kāneʻohe Bay was the
home to over two dozen walled fishponds
that Hawaiians built by hand. These
remaining fishponds are a monument
to the ingenuity of the Hawaiian
people and cannot be found anywhere
else in the world.
