President’s Circle Award: Cathie
Marples
This award is decided by
the past, current, and incoming
presidents of the Discovery
Bay Chamber of Commerce.
IT is their highest honor to a
member that has served the
community year after year, and is
an inspirational model of what a
great community member can be.
Cathie Marples has been serving
the Discovery Bay for more than
30 years, helping to develop
and market the Discovery Bay
lifestyle, and supporting local
causes, from school fundraisers
and youth activities, to the
American Cancer Society.
Valentine’s
Day Specials
Another highlight of the
evening was the thousands of
dollars raised for the Byron Union
School District Odyssey of the
Mind Program, an academic
competition program for gifted
students. Both silent and live
auction donations - from dozens
of business people and community
members - made this activity
successful, and is a testament
to the Chamber of Commerce
support of Discovery Bay’s best
and brightest young minds.
