Recommended Dental Equipment Maintenance Programme
DAILY MAINTENANCE
1. Wipedown dental unit and surgery surfaces using diluted non alcoholic solution. Do not spray directly onto surface - spray
onto soft cloth. Do not use
excessive solution.
2. Clean vacuum lines using non

instructions. Clean or replace

pump (wet system suction).
4. Check separator at dental
unit (dry system suction).
Clean or replace as necessary.
5. Check oil level in compressor
(for lubricated models).
Replenish as necessary.
6. Drain compressor tank
(may be required daily).
7. Check oil level in dental chair
(for hydraulic models).
Disinfect water lines, then leave
dry over weekend by fitting an
empty bottle and flushing unit
until water runs out.
MONTHLY MAINTENANCE
1. Check filter for mains water (where fitted).
2. Clean Plaster trap.

trouble shooting guides and
circuit diagrams for equipment.
6. Sterilise / autoclave all
handpieces and instruments
before sending to repair company.
