The annual Oktoberfest is a community event, emphasizing arts and crafts,
authentic refreshments, entertainment, exhibits and Chamber of Commerce
businesses. This event is located at El Camino Real and Mountain Vista
Drive in Encinitas. This free Festival spans 6 blocks and includes
approximately 200 vendors and attracts over 25,000 in attendance.
All vendors must submit photos of their products/booth set up. To avoid
excessive duplication, some vendor types may be limited. Sale of items
deemed to be harmful or inappropriate by festival staff is grounds for
forfeiture of fees and dismissal from the event. Animals for sale or given
away are prohibited. Drugs, weapons, stolen merchandise and explosives
Only a space is provided. Vendors must supply their own pop up tents,
tables, chairs and anything additionally required.
Proof of insurance is required for food/drink vendors, rides/attractions
vendors, chiropractors and any other applicant at management's discretion.
Vendors wanting to use their own generators need prior approval. All
booths with electricity needs will be located on the South/East end of the
Application MUST be accompanied by a check or credit card information
AND a self-addressed, stamped envelope. All applications to sell
merchandise or food must include a valid CA State Board of Equalization
Seller's permit number. Each vendor is responsible for collecting and
reporting their own sales tax.
Food/drink vendors must submit a menu, photo of the booth and proof of
insurance along with a San Diego County Health Dept permit that must be

Space assignment and priority order is based on current Chamber member
applicants, speedy renewal of past vendors, then new applications in
post-mark order. Cashing of check/credit card will constitute acceptance.
Confirmation/location information will be mailed in early September.
Any cancellations prior to Sept.1st will incur a $50.00 handling fee.
No refunds after Sept.1st or due to inclement weather, acts of nature or
restrictions by government agencies.
