Itinerary
Day 1 Australia/Mumbai
Fly from Australia to Mumbai, the fast paced commercial capital
of India. Upon arrival transfer to your for two nights stay.
Day 9 Drive Jaipur - Agra (240 kms / 5.5 Hrs)
This morning drive to Agra ,enroute visit the red sandstone
complex of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 2 Day in Mumbai
This morning take a short ferry ride to visit the rock cut
Elephanta Caves dating back to 550 A.D. This afternoon visit the
Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, and Mani Bhavan
Gandhi Museum. Take photo stops at Chhatrapati Shivaji
terminus, Dhobi Ghat - the open air launderette, Nariman Point
and Marina Drive Queens Necklace view.
Day 10 Day in Agra
This morning visit the white marble beauty, Taj Mahal, the
symbol of eternal love. Later visit Agra Fort.
Day 3 Fly Mumbai -Udaipur
After breakfast catch your flight to Udaipur, the lake city of
Rajasthan.
Day 4 Day in Udaipur
Today visit Udaipur’s City Palace, saluting the Sun God.
Walk over to the grand white marble Jagdish Temple and
drive to Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, garden of the maids of honour.
This evening, take a boat cruise on the serene Lake Pichola,
admiring the palatial heritage along the banks of the lake.
Day 5 Drive Udaipur -Jodhpur (280 kms/6 Hrs)
After breakfastdrive to Jodhpur, the blue city known for
its majestic fort. Enroute visit the beautifully carved Jain
temples at Ranakpur.
Day 6 Day in Jodhpur
Today visit the rock-solid with sweeping views of the blue
city and the JaswantThada, a group of royal cenotaphs
in white marble. This afternoon take a jeep safari to the
nearby tribal village settlements and get an insiders view
to local rural life in Rajasthan.
Day 7 Drive Jodhpur -Jaipur (330 Kms/7 Hrs)
This morning drive to Jaipur. Enjoy the evening at leisure
in Jaipur.
Day 8 Day in Jaipur
This morning take an elephant ride to visit the 16th
century hilltop fort ofAmer, a fine amalgamation of Hindu
and Muslim architecture. This afternoon visit Jaipur’s City
Palace and Museum, Jantar Mantar Royal Observatory and
drive past Hawa Mahal, palace of winds.
Day 11 Train Agra –Jhansi/Drive to Khajuraho (195 kms /5 Hrs)
This morning take an express train to Jhansi. Drive to
Khajuraho, enroute visit the ruins of the palaces & temples
of Orchha.
Day 12 Fly Khajuraho – Varanasi
Morning visitthe enchanting temples of Khajuraho,
a UNESCO world heritage site famous for its erotic
sculptures. Later catch a flight to Varanasi, the spiritual
capital of India. This evening, experience a rickshaw ride
to the ghats and see the grand ‘Aarti’ ceremony by the
banks of holy River Ganges.
Day 13 Day in Varanasi
Take an early morning boat cruise on River Ganges seeing
India’s spiritualism in action along the bathing ghats and
burning ghats. Walk through the oldest alleys of Varanasi
seeing numerous temples and shrines along the way. This
afternoon visit Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha gave
his first sermon.
Day 14 Fly Varanasi – Delhi
This afternoon catch your flight to Delhi.Enjoy the evening
at leisure in Delhi.
Day 15 Delhi/Australia
Today take a tour of Old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid, the
largest mosque in India followed by a rickshaw ride in
Chandni Chowk anddrive past Red Fort. In New Delhi
visit Qutab Minar and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Take a
photo stop at India Gate and drive past President's House,
Parliament House and other Government Secretariat
Buildings of Lutyen’s Delhi. This evening catch your
international flight back home.
