• Activity: Knowing the user's physical abilities helps
decide what type of product is most comfortable to

• Capacity: Determine if you need protection for light,
medium or heavy incontinence problems. Matching
the right-absorbency product to your needs maximizes
comfort and protection.
A good night's sleep
cannot be undervalued.
Higher Absorbency diapers
have a higher capacity for
fluids, allowing for an
uninterrupted 8 hours of
rest. These diapers can be
used during the day, as
well as overnight.
It's all about fit.
Most leakage occurs due to poor fit rather than a poorabsorbency product. If leakage still occurs, use booster pads
for increased absorption or an underpad to protect bedding
and furniture.

• Is there a discreet solution for incontinence?
Pull-up adult diapers tend to be more discreet under
clothing and are closer in look and feel to regular
underwear. If you are experiencing light incontinence,
gender-specific pads and briefs (see pg 14) can be
a great solution.
• How many diapers will I need?
Rule of thumb for an average incontinence product user
is about 4 diapers per day.
• How can I find my size?
Every brand of adult diapers has its own sizing. Start by
measuring around the user's waist or hip. Use the larger
measurement to determine the size. Samples are the best
way to ensure the best fit and application. Diapers should
have a snug but comfortable fit.
• What if I'm still having leaks?
Booster Pads (see pg 17) can be inserted into an adult
diaper for customizable protection. Don't try to remedy
leaks by double diapering or inserting plastic backed
Incontinence Pads in an adult diaper.
• Is a brief different from a diaper?
The terms adult diaper, incontinence underwear and incontinence brief are all interchangeable. Be sure to check
