SPRING CHARITY
GALA
2014 - A Successful Year
As we look back over the last year, we are filled with
gratitude and thanks for our wonderful volunteers and all
the hard work and hours they spend advocating for the
children on their case load. It was though their dedication
that CASA for Clermont Kids was able to advocate for 196
children, 17 of those were placed in their forever home
through adoption, 25 were reunified with their parents
and 29 were placed with relatives or kinship.
It is through the continued support and dedication of
CASA volunteers, community partners, along with the
CASA Board of Directors and staff that we can continue to
support the best interests of abused and neglected
children.
We look forward to 2015 and continued success.
As we look forward into the New Year we shift our focus to
the Spring Charity Gala which will be held this year on April
24, 2015 at Receptions Conference Center in Eastgate.
CASA for Clermont Kids’ Board of Trustees are sponsoring
tickets to the Annual Spring Charity Gala this year for ALL
GAL CASA VOLUNTEERS.
We invite you to come and enjoy this evening FREE OF
CHARGE as a Thank You for all your hard work. Please let us
know if you plan to attend so we can reserve your space and
RSVP for dinner purposes.
As always, if you have any items, gift cards, or baskets you
would like to donate to CASA we will happily accept! Without
the generous donations from our volunteers and the
community our Spring Charity Gala would not be a success
year after year.
If you would like more information about how to become
a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer, please contact Meagan
Garrett at [email protected] or
513-732-7166. Our next training is right around the
corner!

Board Spotlight
Mary Eisnaugle has been with Lykins Oil for 21
years. Mary started with the company in 1991
running the convenience store division then
promoted to Director of Branded Fuels. Currently
Mary is the Vice President of Marketing and
Public Relations. For the last 12 years, Mary has
run the Lykins golf outing charity event at
Legendary Run with all proceeds going to CASA.
Over the last 12 years Lykins has earned well over
$400,000. Mary was on the Goshen local school
board for 9 years (from 2002-2011) bringing the
school district from academic emergency to an
excellent rated school. Mary also played a large
role in getting a new high school and renovations
for the Goshen School District. Mary headed up
the campaign and marketing plan that got
Goshen citizens to vote in favor of the new
project. Mary is a graduate of the Lead Clermont
Class of 2013. Mary and a group of classmates
formed the program “Stopping the Abuse Before
It Ever Starts,” which presents to Clermont
County high schools and teaches young adults
coping skills to avoid unintentional child abuse.
The program goes over neglect and Shaken Baby
Syndrome as well. Mary is also a certified Spin
instructor; teaching classes weekly at Miami
Athletic Club in Milford, Ohio. Mary has two
children Mariah and Garrett.
GAL Spotlight
Michelle Stetson-Baker is a marketing analyst
who assists manufacturers in selling their items
to Kroger.
Michelle will be celebrating her 29th
anniversary this October with her husband
Randy, they have two daughters Laura and
Rachel ages 24 and 21. Laura graduates this
May and soon after graduation has an
internship at the Smithsonian with aspirations
of someday becoming a museum curator.
Rachel graduates December 2015 and is then
off to grad school with aspirations to become a
clinical psychologist. Michelle describes her
daughters as her "absolute pride and joy". In
her spare time, Michelle enjoys swimming and
reading.
Michelle became a GAL in 2010 and has always
felt that no matter how busy life is, it is
important to give back to the community
especially when you are as blessed as she has
been in her life. She feels very strongly about
the quote from Mother Teresa in which she
says “Not all of us can do great things. But we
can do small things with great love.”
Michelle has been working on her current case
for close to 3 years, so the child now knows her
well. It has been an amazing experience to
watch the family progress to the point of
creating a happier healthier home for the child.
When asked about CASA, Michelle feels "it is
an amazing group to volunteer with not only
because of the great folks working there but
also because of the
excellent training and
support they provide
their volunteers".
