CLAIR AUTO MALL CHEERS ON CARDS WHILE GIVING BACK WITH SUCCESSFUL WORLD SERIES FUNDRAISER O’Fallon, Ill. – Auffenberg St. Clair Auto Mall in O’Fallon, Ill., has turned Cardinal Fever into donation dollars by teaming up with Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Metro St. Louis (RMHC St. Louis) to raise money for the nonprofit organization during the 2011 World Series. Auffenberg pledged to donate $100 for every run scored by the St. Louis Cardinals and $10 for every test drive until 8 p.m. on the day following the conclusion of the World Series. In addition to an 11th World Series Championship, the Cardinals’ 38 runs, as well as 55 test drives, amounted to an incredible donation of $4,350 to RMHC St. Louis. This generous contribution will be used to provide a “home‐away‐from‐home” for families of seriously ill children receiving medical treatment in the St. Louis area. To participate in the event, customers simply signed in to test drive a new vehicle at the Auffenberg St. Clair Auto Mall, which includes Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Volkswagen and pre‐owned dealerships. On Nov. 3, 2011, Auffenberg St. Clair Auto Mall’s president, Jamie Auffenberg, presented a check for $4,350 to Ronald McDonald, who accepted the donation on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis. “We are proud to support an organization that helps as many people as Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis does. RMHC St. Louis has been a great help to many families, and we love to support its philanthropic efforts and hope to continue our relationship long into the future,” says Bill Jackson, associate marketing manager of the Auffenberg St. Clair Auto Mall. ### Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis, winner of the St. Louis Better Business Bureau’s 2011 Torch Award, provides a “home‐away‐from home” for families of seriously ill children traveling to St. Louis for medical treatment. The organization has grown from an eight‐ bedroom facility in 1981 to now include three houses, eight extended‐stay apartments, and three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms – one at Mercy Children’s Hospital, one at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and one at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. The Ronald McDonald House provides comfort, care and lodging for up to 59 families every day of the year.
