A little girl named Rian (pronounced Ryan) Catherine Lueck, born to Brooke and Dave Lueck last Wed. (June 6th) at 8:32. She was 8 lbs. 8oz and 20.5 long. Our Wednesday worship moves out to Halfway Creek Lutheran for the summer map with supper (hot dogs) starting at 5:30. June 26…We will need servers and people to bring dessert ...sign up on the bulletin board. In addition to the monthly free meal for the whole community Holmen’s Hope also offers a free lunch to children in the community twice a week (Wed. and Friday) during the summer, at three locations in Holmen, serving 60-100 kids each day. We can help by supplying granola bars...so when you are out shopping pick up granola bars and drop them off at church. Wow thanks for your help with the Lutheran World Relief Personal Hygiene Kits. We had enough supplies for 46 kits but we would like to use up all the supplies we have and have a total of 75 kits. Join us for a fun evening of baseball. There are two special church nights where the tickets are half price: Sunday, June 17th (Father's Day) and Sunday July 8th we will be attending the 5pm ballgames. Tickets will be $3.50 per person (all ages) The Journey Outdoor Adventure Group Pictures Kayak/Canoe La Crosse River postponed until Sat. July 14 for details and more information contact Randy Burgett Journey being welcomed at Synod Assembly Mark your calendars….VBS (Vacation Bible School) will be August 19-22 6-8pm and our theme will be “Sky”. If you are willing to help with games, food, Bible stories, activities, music, etc. Contact the church office. We will do offering VBS together with our sister congregation Halfway Creek Lutheran. There is no cost for VBS and friends and neighbors are welcome. Weekly Reminders Taking Faith Home. Home is church too. Remember if we are to grow in faith it won’t happen if all we invest is one hour on Sunday; check out Taking Faith Home. If you have prayer concerns and would like a group to pray Thanks for your generous gifts to the pantry for you please call or email the church office. Recycle your aluminum cans at Journey! There is a “can cage” beside the garage. We will recycle them for you and use the proceeds for our ministry here Festival Food receipts are collected and turned to Festival for cash… they need to be turned in quarterly so don’t wait to bring them in….there is a jar in the fireside room and on the table in the back of the church Bible Studies and Small Groups Young Adult Ministry (we call it FISH) meets every Monday evening at 6:30 gathering & fellowship, and 7:02 for devotions. Rian Catherine Lueck Born June 6 Women’s Bible Study meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Currently the group is studying the book of Romans. The next meeting will be Tuesday June 19at 6:30pm. Campfire Worship on Wednesday Nights at Halfway Creek Lutheran Going to the Youth Gathering this summer are: Megan Oliver, Alyssa Boardman, Ciara Wera, Khadijah Islam, Kalen Islam, Indiana Hauser, Autumn Arentz, Brittney Mahlum, Kyra Jansky, Myra Jansky, Courtney Bergum.
