We will have a “Read In”, where families can come together to share their favorite books. The staff will also share their favorites with the kids. LADIES AID MISSION WORKDAY - A Ladies Aid Mission workday will be held Monday, October 24 in the Fellowship Hall. At this workday, fleece blankets will be tied for Phil’s Friends, a Christian cancer support group. Students at Trinity Lutheran School will be participating in the workday. Everyone is invited to come, help, and fellowship with students and friends. Bring a covered dish for lunch. Work will begin at 9:00 a.m. Come when it is convenient for you. A Thrivent Team Action has been approved for this activity. Dorcas Ladies Aid Mission Committee TLS students have been enjoying spirit week this past week in preparation for the book fair. The book fair will be open in the fellowship hall from Oct 27-Nov 3. It opens at 7:45 am and closes at 4:00 pm each school day. New this year is the ONLINE book fair! This is a great way for out of town relatives to order books for their favorite student and raise money for the school. There is free shipping on all orders and they will be delivered directly to the school with your child's name on it after the book fair is over. The dates for the online fair are Oct 24-Nov 5. A portion of each book fair purchase comes back directly to the teachers classrooms and they are able to purchase books and teaching aids. On Tuesday, Nov 1, we will have a special breakfast at 7:30 am for all of our students and dad's/grandpa's/uncle's. Bulletin and Parish Caller Items need to be in the office before noon on Wednesday fax: 235-6336 or e-mail [email protected] The Men’s Club of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Purdy, MO invites the men of Trinity at Freistatt to a meeting at 7:30 pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the St. John’s Parish Hall to discuss and plan for future joint Men’s Club meetings of Lutheran men from Cassville Lockwood, Freistatt, Monett, Aurora, Neosho, Sarcoxie, and Purdy. We will have devotions/Bible Study, food, presentations of topics of interest to Lutheran men and recreation. We genuinely hope you will attend and enjoy this time of fellowship, enrichment, and growth, with us! FOOD MINISTRY-The Fall Ingathering of non-perishable food items will be held Sunday, October 30 and Sunday, November 6. Your help providing food for families in need in the community is greatly appreciated. A table will be in the narthex for food with a basket for cash donation to purchase food. If you have perishable items you would like to donate, please contact a member of the Board of Mission and Evangelism to make arrangement for the items. Distribution of the food will be during the week of November 6. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact a member of the Board of Mission and Evangelism.
