CHILDREN’S SPARK STORY BIBLES
Bibles are now available for children to use during worship. We will print in the bulletin, the page #’s of the
corresponding story for each reading, so they can read
and understand the scripture for the day more easily.
FIRST ANNUAL HUNGER BOWL
Thank you....Thank you...Thank you for participating in the first annual Hunger Bowl to
support the Minnehaha Food Shelf! Because
of your participation, we were able to raise
$1,043 which at $0.14 a pound at Second Harvest
Food Bank converts to 7,450 pounds of food.....how
cool is that! Thanks also to those folks who donated
groceries (127 lbs!), those who helped make the event
go so smoothly, and all who just came to cheer on the
bowlers and add to the fun atmosphere!

EGG HUNT FOR HOPE PRESCHOOL
We are hosting an egg hunt on March 25 & 26 for the
kids at the Preschool. We are accepting candy donations and need help hiding the eggs. All candies should
be individually wrapped and nut free. Please drop off
the candy by 3:00pm this Tuesday. For more

Garden in the sanctuary for Easter morning.
Profits from this sale go to help send our kids
to Lake Wapo Lutheran Camp this summer.
HILLCLIMBERS ALERT
CoAM has invited us to go along on two tours. (Try to
forget getting stuck in the snow last year).
Wednesday, March 25: St Paul gangster tour and lunch
in the Wabasha St. caves. Price is $62.00 per person,
includes bus, guided tour, lunch.
Wednesday, May 6: Chanhassen Dinner Theatre "Mary
Poppins". Price is $82.00 per person, Includes bus,
lunch and show. Bus leaves from Bethel church, E.
42nd St. and 17th Ave S.

HOPE SERVES BREAKFAST MARCH 29
at St. Stephen’s Shelter. Sign up in the
Gathering Area. We meet at church at
7:15am, carpool to the shelter, serve
breakfast, and are back at church by 8:45 or so. We
need four people to serve and more people to donate
food items, as listed on the signup sheet.

SPRING PLANT ORDERS
Spring is starting to arrive! It is time
then to again think about your garden
spaces that are begging for some
splashes of color.
This also is a fundraiser to help send Hope's
children to summer camp at Lake Wapo in
Wisconsin. Please check the appropriate box on
the top of the form, since this sale is also being
done in conjunction with our preschool.
Orders are due by April 10th, pick up will be May 6th.

ST. JOHN’S MUSIC SERIES - TODAY
The Metropolitan Boys Choir will be performing their
Mid-Winter Concert on Sunday, March 22nd at
3:00pm. The MBC’s mission is to provide a unique program of musical excellence and personal growth for
Twin Cities area boys of varied social, cultural and economic backgrounds. Also, to develop responsibility and
leadership and to empower these young men to become positive influences in their communities.
The concert will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church,
4842 Nicollet Ave. A freewill offering will be taken.
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
NOKOMIS HEALTHY SENIORS
For anyone who is a caregiver for a loved one.
Aggie Sorenson, parish nurse at Bethel Lutheran
Church, facilitates this support group. Meetings
are held at 1:00 p.m. the fourth Thursday of every
month at Bethel Lutheran, 4120 17th Ave. S.
NOKOMIS HEALTHY SENIORS
Nokomis Healthy Seniors is a neighborhood based organization specifically
designed to help seniors. They offer
home health aides, support groups, education, nurse
consultation, transportation and more.

MINNEHAHA FOOD SHELF
The need for food and funding is on-going!
As you do your grocery shopping, pick up
even just a couple of extra things for the
food shelf. Items requested: Tuna, soups,
canned or boxed pasta products, any one-dish
meals, Rice-a-Roni, Hamburger Helper, vegetable oil,
sugar, cereals, peanut butter, juices, canned
vegetables or fruit, salad dressings, pasta sauces.
