ABB technology will aid production and integration of renewable energy into the national power grid Grid reliability Genoa Smart City Grid reliability ABB signed a protocol with Genoa municipality, within the Strategical Plan for technological Energies, that will help in developping a cooperation aimed to improve quality of life for citizens and helping Genoa evolve into a “smart city” ABB offers several innovative technologies that meet main requirements, from energy efficiency to renewable energy management and integration ABB promoted to the municipality the “La casa della tecnologia” project as a Smart City research and testing center where suitable technologies and solutions used can be shown on a small scale Energy efficiency ABB in Italy © ABB Group September 2012 | Slide 14 Solutions for the “green” electrical distribution Energy efficiency ABB in Italy © ABB Group September 2012 | Slide 15 ABB has won an order for Gorona del Viento’s renewable energy project and will supply medium voltage (MV) equipment for the project on El Hierro, the smallest of the Canary Islands. Thanks to this plant El Hierro will be the first totally autonomous island from an energy generation point of view, with CO2 zero emission technologie. The project will include a small 11.5 MW wind farm and an 11.32 MW hydroelectric pumped storage plant that will use excess electricity to pump water to a reservoir. The wind farm, water turbines and pumps will be controlled from an interconnection substation Pietro Serra Head of Engineering ABB SPA - Power Systems Division BU Power Generation Via Albareto, 35 16153, Genova, Italy, IT Mobile: +39 331 6784 678 email: [email protected] Table of contents ABB in Italy © ABB Group September 2012 | Slide 17 ABB Group and ABB Italy overview ABB employment preposition ABB Italy divisions: products, systems and services Divisione Power Products Offerta chiave Prodotti per l’energia per applicazioni in altissima, alta e media tensione Trasformatori: energia, distribuzione, trazione, altri Prodotti di altissima, alta e media tensione, inclusi interruttori Gamma di condensatori Prodotti per l’automazione della distribuzione, es. relé elettronici Service per i prodotti per l’energia Riparazione, parti di ricambio, manutenzione, controllo remoto Al servizio di questi mercati: Utility, industrie, OEM, EPC, distributori ABB in Italia © ABB Group Maggio 2012 | Slide 18 Divisione Power Systems Offerta chiave Sistemi elettrici, automazione, controllo e strumentazione per la generazione di energia Sistemi di trasmissione in corrente continua e alternata per la connessione di impianti convenzionali e da fonti rinnovabili (HVDC, HVDC Light, FACTS) Cavi AT in AC e DC Sottostazioni chiavi in mano (inclusa l’automazione) Sistemi per la gestione di rete e del mercato elettrico Service dei sistemi per l’energia Consulenza e studi di sistema Ammodernamento e riqualificazione impianti Aggiornamenti software e hardware Gestione degli asset e diagnostica Energy efficiency – riduzione consumo energetico anche in impianti esistenti Al servizio di questi mercati: Utility, industrie, OEM, EPC e partner ABB in Italia © ABB Group Maggio 2012 | Slide 19 Divisione Low Voltage Products Offerta chiave Prodotti per la distribuzione elettrica di bassa tensione Prodotti per applicazioni industriali Prodotti per la sicurezza macchine Sistemi di building automation e domotica Sistemi di comunicazione e segnalazione per ospedali Al servizio di questi mercati: Industriale, terziario, residenziale, OEM, utility, trasporti Al servizio di questi clienti: Installatori, grossisti, OEM, utenti finali, progettisti, system integrator e quadristi ABB in Italia © ABB Group Maggio 2012 | Slide 20 Divisione Process Automation Offerta chiave Impianti chiavi in mano per l’oil and gas Controllo di processo integrato e sistemi di gestione delle informazioni Prodotti, soluzioni e sistemi per l’automazione Strumentazione di processo, analisi e misura forze Servizi e know-how per applicazioni specifiche nell’industria Servizi per la gestione degli asset Al servizio di questi mercati: Tutte le industrie di processo, incluse cartiere, industrie metallurgiche e minerarie, chimiche, farmaceutiche, alimentari, petrolchimiche e oil and gas Navale, Cranes e Turbocharging Utility ABB in Italia © ABB Group Maggio 2012 | Slide 21 Divisione Discrete Automation and Motion Offerta chiave Azionamenti in bassa e media tensione, servomotori e servoazionamenti Motori e generatori in bassa e media tensione Elettronica di potenza Controllori a logica programmabile (PLC) Robot, accessori e software applicativi Celle standardizzate per l’industria manifatturiera per movimentazione, asservimento macchine, saldatura, taglio, verniciatura, finitura ecc.
