The Bluebonnets (and Buicks!) are almost here!
Buicks and Bluebonnets Tour
Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you know that our annual Buicks
and Bluebonnets tour is April 10-12, 2015 at the Hampton Inn, 2605 Schulte
Road, Brenham, TX 77833. Their phone number is 979 337-9898. Our
special rate of $129.00 will be honored thru March 15th, 2015. Be sure to
mention the Buick Club when you register. Questions: [email protected].

Historic downtown Brenham has antiques shops galore, food, museums, and
much more.

Blue Bell Creamery
Tours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., as needed, on a first come first
served basis. No weekend tours. HOWEVER, the ice cream store (no
admission charge) is open Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. You can get all the ice
cream you can eat for $1 a scoop. We can stop by the ice cream store on our
Saturday drive through the countryside if that interests anyone.
Admission costs (includes a serving of Blue Bell Ice Cream):
General Admission $6.00
Senior Citizens (55+, which is most of us!) and Children (6 to 14) $4.00
No cameras permitted on tour. Tours last 45 minutes
Antique Rose Emporium
Eight-acre retail garden features antique roses, native plants, perennials,
herbs, and wildflowers; hard-to-find plants available for sale.

Old Baylor Parks
The columns in Old Baylor Park in Independence mark the location where
Baylor University, the oldest institution of higher learning in the State of
Texas and the largest Baptist university in the world, opened its doors in
1846. Today, only the columns of the main building and the ruins of the stone
kitchen remain.

Pleasant Hill Winery
Pleasant Hill Winery invites you to “Wine Down” on the deck and watch the
sunset every Friday in March, April, and May from 3:00 pm to sunset. Enjoy
wine by the glass or share a bottle with friends.
Tour and tastings Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday noon-5 pm. No admission

Washington on the Brazos State Park
The 293-acre state historic site and museum is located on the Brazos River at
the original townsite of Washington, Texas, a major political and commercial
center in early Texas.
It's location is 23400 Park Road 12 in Washington, off State Hwy 105 on FM
1155, halfway between Brenham and Navasota.
Operating hours are from 10am–5pm daily.

Yet Another Meeting Notice
Also don't forget our 35th Annual Car-B-Q is May 24th at Bear Creek Park at
our usual place (Pavilion #5). This is held in conjunction with the Oldsmobile
Club's annual Open Show. Last year they had more than 150 cars, including
some of ours, so there'll be plenty to see and do. If you want to enter the
show, be there at 8:00 with a $20.00 dollar bill. Drop your Buick in place,
and walk a short distance to our pavilion to catch up on all the latest gossip.
Then go back to the show field to collect your trophy. If you have any
questions or need directions, contact one of your friendly officers.
