The Shore Association invites parents to attend an informal Lunchtime Seminar HELPING YOUR SON COPE WITH EXAM STRESS MONDAY 27TH AUGUST 1PM - 2PM COLEBROOK ROOM @ SHORE SCHOOL NORTH SYDNEY Experiencing anxiety during exams is normal - in fact some anxiety will often help boys perform better in exams! However, for some boys, normal anxiety can cross over into unhelpful stress which has the potential to interfere with their ability to study and fully apply themselves in the exam context. In this informal seminar we will be discussing the difference between normal anxiety and unhelpful stress and what every parent can do to help their son cope with exam stress. This presentation will be given by the Psychologists of the Shore School Counselling Team Numbers are strictly limited. We would love you to continue this tradition. If you have a favourite recipe we would love you to bake it for our stall. Boys in Years 3 to 6 will soon bring home a decorated cake box. We would love you to fill the box with whatever you - or your son - would like to bake: Cakes Cupcakes Meringues Slices ...Anything!!!! On the front lid panel is your son’s name and year group. There is space for you to write the contents of the cake box, eg Chocolate Cake. This helps us to find a particular child’s box or a particular type of cake at the stall. The list of ingredients should also be included on the underside of the lid. Your son can then deliver the filled cake box to the Homemade Cake stall on the Chapel lawn on the morning of the American tea. Mrs. Sue Wright will be judging the hotly contested “Best Decorated Cake Box Competition” during the morning. Prizes will be awarded to boys in each year group.
