This is always an exciting time for the team
here at Airflo, a time when all the hard work
that goes into product development finally
sees the light of day.
2015 is very exciting, with the launch of several
significant new products including our fantastic
new BLITZ & ROCKET premium fly rods. Both
feature a 4 piece design and have the smooth, easy
to cast actions that our rods are rightly famous for.
SUPER DRI fly lines have been a runaway success
and it is only natural that we would extend this
technology with two new tapers in Freshwater
with the help of Kelly Galloup and a complete
overhaul of our saltwater range, including the
radical Tropical Punch designed by Bruce Chard.
Luggage has always been a strong point of our
range, the introduction of our waterproof Fly
Dri range is set to create a real stir with a full line
up of packs and bags that will protect your gear
regardless of conditions.
2015 looks set to be a stellar year; we look
forward to seeing you out on the water.

Airflo fly rods have rapidly gained a reputation as being some of the best
performing fishing rods on the market. Achieved by using some of the latest
materials, including Nano Technology and our unique torsion stability.
BLITZ Fly rod
NEW
When designing the ultimate UK Stillwater rod, we
realised the ever changing demands of our tactics meant PRODUCT
that no single rod could ever be perfect for dry fly and
then set hooks 20’ down on a Di7. The result is a
pragmatic approach, working with the UK’s leading rod manufacturer;
we designed two rods that cover all the options. The 10’ 7# is ultra
sweet and loads quickly for covering rising fish and has a tip capable of
protecting even the finest of tippets – this is THE top of the water rod.
The 10’ 8# has a smoother action than most of its competitors and is
incredible for all pulling techniques from bombing a 40+ Fast Glass out
to the horizon, to setting fish at depth on a Di8 Competitor. Both rods
are made of high modulas carbon, are 4 piece, ultra light weight and
have super tight over lock ferrules that are so smooth, they feel like a
one piece rod.

Streamtec NAN-TEC
The natural progression for our ever popular
streamtec range was the inclusion of Nano Technology RECommended
into the blank, making it lighter, stronger and even more responsive
than previously possible. Designed specifically for running water, this
range of rods has a smooth progressive action that works extremely
well at short to mid range and acts as a great cushion for light tippets
on big fish. The 10’ models have been specifically designed to meet
the demands of modern Czech and French nymphing techniques,
although the 10’ 5/6 doubles as an excellent light top of the water rod
for traditional loch style drifting.

Tactical Quick Spey is a multi tip design which bridges the gap between traditional full
Spey lines and the increasingly popular Scandinavian shooting heads. The 47-50 foot
head is ideal for quick loading and easy D-loops whilst the Ridge Supple main belly and
running line creates great line speed and tight loops for long casts. The main belly has a
very neat welded loop and the tip section is also welded both ends forming a very neat
and versatile loop-to-loop connection. A colour contrast (orange to ivory) between the
running line and head helps to find the optimum loading point. The head also has a black

outside it’s eastern boundary that Rene’
has spent his entire life. Within a half day
drive from home on the Henry’s Fork
lie legendary rivers like the Madison,
FireHole, Beaverhead, Missouri, Big
Hole, Yellowstone, and the Snake.
Having been a fly fisherman from the
age of nine, Rene’ has spent nearly forty
of his sixty plus as a professional tyer,
river guide, writer, and artist.
‘The Italians’ as they are affectionately
known to everyone in the industry,
Marika & Alberto have the enviable
position of travelling the globe searching
out new adventures to write and
photograph.
Both are FFF qualified instructors,
running courses and guiding throughout

Chris Ogborne
Tim became a hardened fly fisherman
at the age of 10, fishing for trout in
Northern California. Following in
the footsteps of a famous brother
Tim became a champion caster at a
young age. Perhaps it is his engineering
background and analytic mind or the
years of competition where casts over
200 feet are common that drive Tim to
push equipment design to the extreme.
Tim is the North American distributor
for Airflo and contributes to the design
of many Airflo’s products.
Chris is a pro guide specialising in some
of the most challenging fishing in the UK,
from Saltwater Bass through to elusive
moorland brown trout. One of England's
most successful competition anglers
and a true ambassador for the sport,
he's only happy these days when fishing
for fish in wild environments. Famous
for pioneering the 'light line philosophy'
for trout, he now extends this into sea
angling and he's at the forefront of the
ultra-light fly and spin movement in
Cornwall.

Gareth Jones
We are excited to enlist the services of
World Champion Iain Barr to help with
product development.
Iain brings a wealth of experience in all
aspects of fly fishing and we are sure his
input will be put to good use over the
coming years.
In his role as Airflo Sales Director,
Gareth has travelled the world making
sure our lines perform in their intended
environments - tough job.
A Stillwater specialist, Gareth has fished
to the highest levels in competition, but
in recent years has turned his attentions

Peter has fly fished for over 37 years and
during that time has travelled the globe
extensively in search of unique flyfishing
adventures. Dutch National Fly Fishing
Champion in 2008 and 2012. Winning
Silver medals in 2009 and 2010 and
a Bronze medal in 2013. Peter’s best
result at the FIPS Mouche World Fly
Fishing Championships was a 16th place
in Scotland 2008. Peter runs Elberse
International and is responsible for
distributing Airflo in the Netherlands,
Germany and Austria.
