The council of Ministers has implemented the following regulations that will commence in December 2009, to assist with the prevention of accidents :- All vehicles and trailers/drivers must have :- Advanced Warning Signs, Reflective Vests and Reflective Signage.
(other than tow/three wheeled vehicles) on all roads.
A. Red reflective equilateral triangles, each side of 500 millimetres long and must be visible from 100 metres away - erected vertically
B. Reflected Fluorescent Vest with reflective yellow or green stripes (visible night and day) to be used when repairing a vehicle on
the road,in an accident, when loading, unloading or removing goods that have fallen on the road.
C. Reflective markings in yellow must be on all vehicles over 10 000kg placed on all sides and back.
The fine is 1000 Mts for non compliance. Should you have a Vest /triangle not in accordance with official requirements fine is 500Mts.
