CREDITS & REFUNDS A complete membership refund, excluding the joining fee, is available for any reason within 30 days of joining. After 30 days, a pro-rated refund is available if moving from the area. Any membership that has lapsed for more than two months is subject to a new joining fee. The Y believes that its programs should be available to everyone so we offer “Membership for All”. This income based pricing structure is provided by our Y for All and United Way. AWAY PROGRAM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE When you travel you can use other Ys on a short-term basis. The AWAY program offers you access to Ys over 50 miles away. PAYMENT OPTIONS Monthly payments can be processed electronically through a credit card, checking account or savings account. Your draft continues until you provide the Y with a 30-day written notice of cancellation or changes. Phone cancellations are not accepted. This is a continuous payment system. Annual memberships and programs may be paid with cash, checks, American Express, Visa or MasterCard. INSUFFICIENT FUNDS Any check or bank draft returned to the Y for non-payment is charged a $25 fee, in addition to any fees charged by your bank. BUILDING RENTALS The Graham Aquatic Center, the Y and Camp Spirit are available for rentals. Contact the Y for details. YOUTH POLICY In order for everyone to have a positive experience while at the YMCA, a Youth Policy is posted throughout our facility. Unaccompanied youth under age 18 must exit the building by 8pm MondayFriday, unless in a supervised Y program. GUESTS For the safety of our guests and members, guests must present photo ID and sign a waiver upon each visit. Free guest passes are available to Adult members as a benefit of their membership and to encourage them to recruit new members. Each guest can only be a guest 3 times per calendar year. Guests under the age of 18 must have a supervising adult in the facility during the visit. Members under age 18 may not bring guests. SUMMER KID’S CLUB (SUMMER 2016) Care is available for children between the ages of 512 years old. Child must have completed Kindergarten to participate in the program. Program operates between 5:45am-6:00pm. SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE Before and after school care is provided for students attending the York City Schools, York Academy, Lincoln Charter, and Logos Academy. All programs operate 5:45am until the start of schools and dismissal of school until 6:00 p.m. Holiday Care is also included within your weekly or monthly fee. FM/$30 NM/$60 FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT GIRLS VOLLEYBALL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CLINIC (Grades 4-8) Thursdays, October 1 – 15 6:30-8 pm Learn from highly qualified instructors and prepare for our intramural program, club volleyball and/or school volleyball. Clinic is all three days. FM/ $30 PM/ $45 GIRLS INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL (Ages 11-15) Mon, Nov 23- Jan 18, 7-8:30 pm This fun program will enhance your volleyball skills through instruction, drills, practices and games. Two courts. FM/ $35 PM/ $70 TEEN FITNESS FITNESS CLASSES GIRLS CLUB VOLLEYBALL (Ages 11-18) This program is for girls who want to practice and compete at a high level. Practices are twice a week from Dec. – May with weekend tournaments twice a month from Jan-May at locations throughout PA. Monthly cost ranges from $125-$230. Parent/Player Introductory Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2PM at the Graham Aquatic Center. Tweens and teens age 11 and up are eligible to participate in any group exercise class. All participants must abide by class guidelines: wear appropriate fitness attire, arrive on time, use good form and avoid cell phone use. TEEN WEIGHT TRAINING (Ages 11-13) Tues & Thurs, 5:30- 6:30 pm The Fitness Center is only open to people 14 years or older, however, you can receive this privilege if you complete a minimum of 8 trainings with a Certified Personal Trainer. Learn how to work out in a safe and effective manner. Parents are required to attend. Free to members. Must register for monthly class! FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT GYMNASTICS Gymnastics programs are held in our YMCA Gym on Monday evenings. All gymnastics programs begin the first full week of the odd numbered months. Please contact the York Membership Desk or Gymnastic Academy to register for class. Payment in full is required prior to the start of each session. Financial assistance is available. As a follow up to the 7th Grade initiative, the 8th grade bridge seeks to sustain the teachings and support of the YMCA by providing a safe place where students can continue to develop personally and academically. The 8th grade bridge is the bridge from the character building 7th grade initiative, and the academically building Achievers Avenue. Held at the York Branch on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30pm. FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AQUATICS PRESCHOOL II (Ages 3-5) For the child who has successfully completed Swim lessons that are 8 weeks long begin the 1st full week of odd Preschool I. Handheld weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support; head to toe stretching; and relaxation. Fri, 11:15 AM- 12 NOON SILVERSNEAKERS ® CLASSIC Have fun moving to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and balls are offered for resistance, and chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Mon- Thur, 11:15 AM- 12 NOON SENIOR SWIM & EXERCISE For 50 years & up, this class combines 40 minutes of exercise &15 minutes of swimming in a warm pool with depth of 4 1/2 feet. See aquatic schedule for times. ARTHRITIS AQUATIC PROGRAM Approved by the Arthritis Foundation. This recreational program helps with arthritis and every day pain & stiffness. One hour class in a warm (84-860) pool with a depth of 4-4 1/2 feet. See aquatic schedule for times. FM/ $FREE ARTHITIS FOUNDATION/$25 MASTER’S SWIM PROGRAM Competitive style program for ages 18 & up. Coach is on deck during developing practices for a variety of swimming levels to assist participants in meeting their fitness goals. Coach is available for technical stroke advice and motivation. See aquatic schedule for times. OPEN SWIMS Recreational swim for members to play, water walk, or exercise. This is not Lap Swimming. Youth under 11 must have adult (18 or older) supervision. See aquatic schedule for times. LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA This free 12 week research based program supports adult cancer survivors in regaining their physical, emotional and spiritual strength. This health and wellness exercise program is conducted in a small group environment that includes individualized attention for each participant.
