I love how my son starts with his class and age category and stays with them throughout the program. He can create friendships with teachers and peers that will continue with him through his pre-k years. The teachers are a very special part of this program as well. Even the teachers who aren’t in his room say bye to him, by name, as we are leaving the center. They know me by name and are always working to keep me involved in his development. The YMCA is an important part of our family. ABBY, YMCA Early Learning Parent For us, family is a very important part of our lives. The YMCA helps make it possible for all of us to come together and stay active and healthy. Since my involvement with the Y, I have increase my physical activity and have learned a great deal about nutrition. The kind of encouragement that I received from the fitness staff during the new year, new you program was incredible. I feel like the YMCA is one big family and I’m never judged for my beliefs. No matter what kind of day it has been so far for them, I’m there to make sure that their day is great. When those children come in with a grouchy morning face, and they see you and run to give you a hug, there’s no amount of money in the world that’s worth that feeling.
