THE COACHES
ABOUT THE Bengals
CLEVELAND BROWNS - ROMEO CRENNEL
Romeo Crennel is entering his fourth season as Head
Coach and was rewarded with a two-year contract extension (thru 2011) on Jan. 29, 2008. Crennel led the
Browns to a 10-6 record in 2007, including a franchisebest seven consecutive home wins, and witnessed six
Browns selected to the Pro Bowl. Crennel’s offense
developed into a highly productive unit and ranked
eighth in the NFL in offense (5,621 net yards) and scoring (402 points). The output of net yards and scoring
also ranked third best in franchise history. Crennel was
named head coach of the Cleveland Browns on Feb. 8, 2005, the 11th full-time
head coach in franchise history. Crennel returned to Cleveland in 2005, after
serving as the Browns defensive coordinator in 2000, and along with Phil Savage helped rebuild the football operations. Crennel previously led the Browns
to a respectable 6-10 record in his first year as a head coach and added a 4-12
mark in 2006. His resume includes 38 years of coaching experience, including
27 years in the NFL. Prior to rejoining the Browns, Crennel served as the defensive coordinator for New England (2001-04), helping the Patriots to three Super
Bowl victories. From 1997-99, Crennel coached the defensive line on the New
York Jets. He spent 12 years on the New York Giants coaching staff starting as
the special teams and defensive assistant coach in 1981. Crennel began his
professional coaching career in 1970 at his alma mater, Western Kentucky. He
also saw stints at Texas Tech, Mississippi and Georgia Tech before entering the
professional ranks.
The Bengals dropped to 0-3 after falling
to the New York Giants 26-23 in overtime
last weekend. Cincinnati also dropped
contests to Baltimore (17-10) and Tennessee (24-7). QB Carson Palmer leads
the team with 514 yard threw the air, one
touchdown pass and three interceptions.
RB Chris Perry leads the squad with 180
yards on the ground and two touchdowns. WR TJ Houshmandzadeh
has registered 18 receptions for 216 yards and one touchdown, while
WR Chad Johnson has added eight catches for 88 yards.

CINCINNATI BENGALS - MARVIN LEWIS
Lewis is in his sixth year at the helm for Cincinnati.
Lewis became the ninth coach in Bengals history on
January 14th, 2003. In his five seasons with the team,
Lewis has compiled a 42-41 regular season record and
has registered just one losing season. The Bengals finished 8-8 in each of their first two seasons under Lewis
and in 2003 and 2004, Lewis finished second behind
Bill Belichick of New England in Associated Press voting for NFL Coach of the Year. In 2005, Cincinnati recorded an 11-5 record, winning the AFC North division
and making the playoffs for the first time in 15 years. Despite setting multiple
franchise records in the regular season, the Bengals lost to the rival Pittsburgh
Steelers, 31-17, in the wild card round. Lewis entered the NFL coaching ranks
in 1992 with the Steelers as a linebackers coach, spending four seasons in the
Steel City. From there, he joined the Baltimore Ravens staff as the defensive
coordinator, spending six seasons (1996-2001) there, including a Super Bowl
victory in 2000. Prior to joining the Bengals in 2002 he directed the NFL’s fifthranked defense with Washington, serving as assistant head coach in addition
to his coordinators role. Lewis spent 11 seasons coaching in the college ranks,
beginning his coaching career as linebackers coach at his alma mater, Idaho
State, from 1981-84, winning the NCAA Division 1-AA championship in 1981.

The Browns put themselves in a tough spot, falling behind 19-0 at halftime before coming
up just short in their comeback attempt, falling 19-14 at the hands of the Bengals at Paul
Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. The Browns got on the board late in the third quarter after
an 11 play, 71-yard drive ended with QB Derek Anderson connecting with WR Braylon
Edwards on a 2-yard TD pass, cutting the Browns deficit to 19-7. After an interception of
their own midway through the final quarter, Browns DB Leigh Bodden stepped in front of
a Bengals QB Carson Palmer pass attempt, swiping his second interception of the afternoon, giving the Browns the ball at the Bengals 16-yard line. Three plays later Anderson
found Edwards for a 5-yard TD, drawing the Browns to within 19-14. On their ensuing
drive, the Bengals advanced the ball from their own 40-yard line down to the Browns
22-yard line. On 2nd and 10 from the Browns 22-yard line, Bengals RB Kenny Watson
was stripped by Browns LB Andra Davis. The ball was recovered by Browns LB D’Qwell
Jackson, giving the Browns one last shot at the comeback. With 1:48 remaining the
Browns started from their own 17-yard line, moving the ball to the Bengals 29-yard line
with one second left. On the final play of the game, Anderson was unable to connect with
TE Kellen Winslow, providing the 19-14 outcome.

NEW FACES
Romeo Crennel’s 2008 squad features 39 players from last year’s squad
and 14 new players to round out the 53-man roster.
Once again the Browns were busy during free agency. Not only did Cleveland ink several new players, but they also made several key trades to
help the continued improvement of the team. Below is a recap of the
Browns free agency activity:
Defense (9): Starters DT Shaun Rogers and DE Corey Williams; veterans DB Terry Cousin, DB Travis Daniels and LB Shantee Orr; and
rookies LB Beau Bell, LB Alex Hall, DB Gerard Lawson, DL Ahtyba
Rubin and DE Santonio Thomas.
Name (Old team): How acquired
DL Corey Williams (Green Bay): Trade (2008 2nd round pick)
Offense (4): Starters OL Rex Hadnot and WR Donte’ Stallworth; veteran OL Scott Young; and rookie TE Martin Rucker.
• Played in 56 games for Green Bay and totaled 156 tackles
and 17 sacks. Has recorded seven sacks in each
of the last two seasons. In 2007 with the Packers, Williams
played in all 16 games, including nine starts, and totaled a
career-high 51 tackles, seven sacks for 38 yards, one interception for nine yards, three forced fumbles and one pass defended.
Only K Phil Dawson remains from the Browns original 1999 roster. Also,
only seven players remain from prior to Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage
joining the Browns following the 2004 season: Dawson, LB Andra Davis, TE Steve Heiden, S Sean Jones, LS Ryan Pontbriand, OL Ryan
Tucker and TE Kellen Winslow.
DL Shaun Rogers (Detroit): Trade (CB Leigh Bodden and 2008 3rd round
pick)
• Seven-year veteran with Detroit has appeared in 98 career
games, including 96 starts, and totaled 447 tackles, including

Browns Name 2008 Captains
Browns Head Coach Romeo Crennel named LB Willie McGinest, LB
Andra Davis, QB Derek Anderson, C Hank Fraley, K Phil Dawson and
KR Joshua Cribbs as team captains for the 2008 season. The players
were voted upon by their teammates.
WR Donte’ Stallworth (New England): UFA
McGinest (15th season) and Davis (7th season) will serve as defensive
captains, Anderson (4th season) and Fraley (9th season) will serve as
offensive captains, while Dawson (10th season) and Cribbs (4th season)
as special teams captains.
• Six-year NFL veteran who has played in 84 games with New
Orleans, Philadelphia and New England and has totaled 279 receptions for 4,213 yards (15.1 avg.) and 31 touchdowns. Last
season with New England, Stallworth totaled 46 receptions for
697 yards and three touchdowns.
Each NFL club will have team captains wear a captain patch on their uniform. The idea came from NFL players during a meeting of Commissioner
Roger Goodell’s new Player Advisory Council last season. The purpose
of the program is to support and recognize the importance of team leadership through the role of the captains. Captains traditionally serve as a
link between players, coaches and management to help foster cohesion
within the teams.
OL Rex Hadnot (Miami): UFA
• Played in 63 games, including 55 starts, during his four-year
career with the Miami Dolphins. During his career, Hadnot has

The Cleveland Browns have announced that Warren Lahr (1948-59), Paul Wiggin (1957-67), Walter Johnson (1965-76) and Eric Metcalf (1989-94) are the
newest members of the Cleveland Browns Legends based on the combined voting of fans and 10-member panel. All four Legends will be inducted at a special
ceremony at Cleveland Browns Stadium during the Browns home game vs. The
New York Giants on October 13.
The Browns created the Cleveland Browns Legends in 2001 to annually honor
former players who have made a major impact on the organization. Players
must have been on the Browns’ active roster for a minimum of five seasons. The
Cleveland Browns Legends were determined by fan balloting on the Browns’
website – www.clevelandbrowns.com - (weighted 20%) along with voting by
a 10-member Legends Panel (weighted 80%). Each of the Browns alumni in
the Pro Football Hall of Fame were automatically inducted into the Cleveland
Browns Legends.
Warren Lahr – DB– 5’11 – 189 lbs – Years with Browns: 1948-59
A staple in the defensive backfield for the Browns for 12 seasons, Warren Lahr
finished his storied career with 40 interceptions, landing him second on the alltime franchise list. In 1950, Lahr had his most prolific season as a cornerback,
intercepting a career-best eight passes and ran back two picks for touchdowns.
The Pennsylvania native followed his stellar 1950 season by returning two more
interceptions for touchdowns in 1951 and started a streak of five seasons (19511955) where he recorded five interceptions. A graduate of Western Reserve,
Lahr ended his career with 530 interception return yards and five defensive
touchdowns and cemented his place in Browns history. Lahr passed away on
Jan. 19, 1969.
Paul Wiggin – DE – 6’3 – 242 lbs – Years with Browns: 1957-67
Wiggin aided with the progression of the defensive end position as one of the
most dominant players of his era on the end of the defensive line. A sixth-round
pick in the 1957 NFL draft out of Stanford University, Wiggin was a two-time
first-team All-America selection and was inducted into the college football Hall
of Fame in 2005. The durable Wiggin was the picture of endurance, playing in
every game for 11 seasons in Cleveland. Despite playing his entire career at
defensive end, Wiggin recorded three career interceptions and returned his lone
interception in 1960, 20 yards for a touchdown. Born in Modesto, Calif., Wiggin
returned to his alma mater and coached for three years after a three-year stint
as a coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Walter Johnson – DT – 6’4 – 275 lbs – Years with Browns: 1965-76
Nicknamed “Zoom” for his notorious quickness off the ball, Johnson was taken
by the Browns in the second round of 1965 NFL draft and went on to play every
game of all of his 13 seasons in the league. Johnson teamed with DT Jerry
Sherk to create one of the most dominant defensive tackle tandems of their time.
During his career, Johnson fronted a Browns defense that notched twenty or
more forced fumbles in every season he was on the team. Even as an interior
defensive lineman, Johnson corralled two interceptions during his storied career
and even broke off a 24-yard kickoff return playing special teams in 1972. Born
in Cincinnati, Ohio, Johnson attended Los Angeles State University and ended
his NFL career having played in 182 games. Johnson passed away on June
30, 1999.
Eric Metcalf – RB/KR – 5’10 – 188 lbs – Years with Browns: 1989-94
An explosive player at the University of Texas, Metcalf was selected by the Browns
with the 13th overall pick in the 1989 NFL draft and made an immediate impact.
In his rookie season, Metcalf rushed for 633 yards and six touchdowns while also
reeling in 54 receptions for 397 yards and four scores. As a kick returner, Metcalf
was regarded as one of the most dangerous players with the ball as shown by
his 1,052 return yards in his second season, including two touchdowns one of
which came via a 101-yard kickoff return. As his versatility increased throughout
his career, Metcalf earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections in 1994 and 1995
before he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. With 43 career touchdowns from
scrimmage and 12 more from kickoffs, the Seattle, Wash., native remains one of
the biggest playmakers in the history of the Browns organization.

record in his first year as a head coach and added a 4-12 mark in 2006. His resume includes 38 years of coaching experience, including 27 years in the NFL.
The Cleveland Browns named Mel Tucker defensive coordinator. In 2008, Tucker received a two-year contract

allowing 230.1 yards passing per game. Tucker was responsible for the development of two young safeties in

on the team with 11 passes defended, while fifth-round pick Brandon McDonald
became a force in the second half of the season as the nickel defensive back
and tied Wright for second on the club with 11 passes defended.
Tucker previously served as defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator for Ohio State University for four seasons (2001-04) and the defensive
backs coach at Louisiana State University for the 2000 season. Tucker began
coaching as a graduate assistant at Michigan State in 1997 and 1998 before

Hall Shines in First NFL Start
With winds gusting between 40-50 miles per hour on Sunday Sept. 14, against
Pittsburgh, the conditions were perfect for a difficult task for kickers on the
special teams units. However, Browns P Dave Zastudil established a careerbest 53.0 gross average and 52.8 net average on his five punts for 265 yards.
Zastudil’s net average also established a team single-game mark (dating back
to 1970) and ranks tied for second-highest net punting single-game average in
the NFL. More impressively, Zastudil set the tone early in the contest as four of
his five punts came in the first quarter kicking into the gusty winds and his fifth
kick came in the third stanza into the wind as well.
Seventh-round pick LB Alex Hall registered a stellar game in his first NFL start.
Hall recorded his first NFL sack with a seven yard loss of Ravens QB Joe
Flacco. The St. Augustine product posted seven total tackles (four solo and
three assists) and added two quarterback pressures.

New D-Lineman Set an Early Tone
Prime Time
On Sunday, Sept. 14, against the Steelers, DE Corey Williams posted a careerhigh nine tackles, including six solo and three assisted tackles, for the fifth-year
pro. Williams led the team in tackles and also shared a sack with S Nick Sorensen on a nine-yard sack of Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. Since Romeo
Crennel brought the 3-4 defensive scheme to the Browns in 2005, Williams’
performance marked only the fifth time since 2005 that a defensive lineman has
either led the club or tied for the lead in tackles in a game.
The Browns have five nationally televised regular season games during the
2008 campaign, including three Monday Night (ESPN) contests, one Sunday
Night (NBC) game and one Thursday Night (NFL Network) contest. Previously,
the most national primetime games that featured the Browns in a single-season
was three during both the 1988 and 1989 seasons.

UNDER THE CENTER
Big day against the Bengals
Since 1999, the Browns have had ten different starting quarterbacks. Since
1999, the Browns opening day starter at QB has included Ty Detmer (1999); Tim
Couch (2000, 2001), Kelly Holcomb (2002, 2003), Jeff Garcia (2004), Trent Dilfer
(2005), Charlie Frye (2006, 2007), and Derek Anderson (2008).
Despite his record setting rushing performance with the Baltimore Ravens
against the Browns earlier in his career, RB Jamal Lewis has more 100-yard
rushing performances and rushing TDs against the Bengals than any other
team in the NFL. During his seven years with the Ravens and after one season
with the Browns, Lewis has played in 13 games against Cincinnati and totaled
1,551 yards rushing on 284 carries (5.5 avg.) and 10 rushing TDs. In those 13
contests, Lewis rushed for nine 100-yard games, including seven consecutive
games from 2000-04.
Here is a look at the Browns starting QBs since 1999 and their records as starters during the regular season.

Edwards set a franchise record for receiving TDs in a season (Gary Collins,
1963) with his 14th and 15th TD grabs of the season in the Browns Week 16
contest with the Bengals, before finishing the season with one final TD grab in
the victory over the 49ers in Week 17, increasing his franchise record to 16. Edwards also matched his career-high with eight receptions in the Week 16 game
with the Bengals, the fourth time he hauled in eight passes in a game in 2007.
Browns WR Braylon Edwards and TE Kellen Winslow became the first duo in
Browns history to each record 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.
“The opposing defense has to pick their poison, double either myself or Braylon,”
said Winslow. “Braylon is good to have as a catalyst on this offense because
he is getting open and beating his man. Opposing defenses have to account for
both of us on the field and then it creates opportunities for other players.”
Edwards became the sixth receiver in Browns history to eclipse the 1,000-yard
mark in a single season, setting the franchise record for most receiving yards
in a single season. Winslow joined Edwards as the seventh Browns receiver to
eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a season.

Romeo Crennel Press Conference Transcript 9-22-08
(Opening statement)- “I think that everybody understands now that last year is officially over
and where we are is where we are. I think that we have to evaluate this year’s team for who
we are, how we’re playing right now and what’s happened this year and not look at what
happened last year or anticipate that it’s going to be okay because it’s not okay. We’re going
to evaluate the team and try to figure out what we need to do to get the team better so that
we have a chance to play better and have a chance to win some games. That’s what we
started looking at today and will continue to look at as we prepare for the game on Sunday
to try to get through that one. As I told you yesterday, it was a game of two halves. The first
half we played decent and we had a lead going into halftime and then we come out and the
same team did not come out. We made too many mistakes, we put ourselves in a hole, we
were on the road, crowd noise impacted us a little bit but if you’re a good team you can work
through some of that and we didn’t work through it at all. Before we know it, we go from a
10-7 game to a 10-21 game and that puts us under the gun. It was tough trying to come back
and probably affected some of the play calling to try to get the scores back. This is where we
are and I think that the thing we have to do is evaluate what we’ve done so far and who can
give us the best chance to win, who can go out and play. That’s what we’re going to try to get
done the next couple of days here and then we’re going to try to go forward.”
and there are players who have some deficiencies because everybody can’t be All-Pro,
everybody’s not a superstar, then we have to try to protect those guys that may be limited
for whatever reason. Maybe a guys is limited because of an injury or whatever, we have to
try to protect that guy and not put him in situations that will get us beat.”
(On Braylon Edwards)- “We coach Braylon up, we talk to him, we council him, we point out
to him the correct way to block, the correct angle to take and that you’re not supposed to
block in the back. The thing that we try to emphasize is on penalties, they hurt your team
and they cause you to lose. We talk about it but evidently we don’t talk about it enough. You
can get to the point where you can put the guy on the bench if he continually does that, so
that’s what you can do about it.”
(On the option of bringing Brady Quinn in the game late against the Ravens)- “As the situation went along it was 10-21 and then it got to be 10-28. We felt like if we could get a score
then it’s back to a 10-point game and felt like that DA, because he had all the practice reps
during the week basically, probably gave us the best chance. So I decided to leave him in
the game.”
(On what Derek Anderson needs to do to improve)- “Last year he got every rep in practice,
he played every preseason game. This year, he hasn’t been able to do that. Last year he
had all the receivers working with him and this year he doesn’t have all the receivers working with him and a key guy that he had last year is not even practicing at all this year. I think
all of that goes into it. The offensive line, they don’t have quite as many people as they did
last year and the fact that Ryan Tucker was a starter last year and he’s not a starter now
because of an injury. We have to work through it and that the challenge of coaching in this
league, trying to work through adversity and trying to get your team to play more consistent
than we’re playing now.”
(On injuries)- “From the injury standpoint, Shantee Orr, he took a hit in the head but it was
just mild. We took him inside, he was okay, they brought him back to the sideline and he
should be okay. Derek (Anderson) has a bruise on his forearm, he had a wrap on it I believe.
Those were the other things that came out of the game.”
(On getting Derek Anderson’s confidence back)- “That’s one of the things I think that maybe
several things have to happen. I think the pressure affected him a little bit yesterday so we
have to protect better, we have to be better route runners and catch better and then he has
to throw better. I think all of those things impacted the results yesterday, particularly in the
second half.”
(On the rest of the season)- “I talked to the players just like I mentioned to you already. What
we have to do is we have to focus in on getting the guys on the field that give us the best
chance to win, guys that will concentrate and focus and play to the best of their ability. Then
we have to try to adapt and adjust if a guy is limited for whatever reason to try to limit the
tough situations that he’s put in. If we can get that done and be a consistent football team,
then that will improve our chances of winning.”
(On evaluating the quarterback position)- “I think we have to look at all the positions. I think
that we’ll definitely try to get the other guy ready and get him ready to go and then we’ll see
how it progresses from there.”
(On the possibility of a change at the quarterback position)- “When you talk about shaking
things up, I think what we have to do is we have to evaluate it and do what we think is best
for this team to try to win a game. If that’s what it is then that’s what it needs to be, if we
decide that. If we decide that that’s not what it is then we have to figure out what we can
do to help the position more. We’re going to evaluate it and we’re going to look and then
we’re going to make a decision and then we’re going to go with it. Now, where that is, what
percentage, I can’t put a percentage on it or anything like that.”
(On Eric Steinbach)- “He is recovering. He is working and we have not ruled him out for this
week. We will see how his strength is, if his strength is okay then he will play.”
(On what changes need to be made)- “One of the things we do is look outside and we have
got some guys coming in to work out today. I don’t know if they are the answer because if
they are the answer then they wouldn’t be on the street. We are going to look at those guys
and see what they look like and try to go forward and see what we can do to improve the
team.”
(On play calling in the second half)- “When you get down 21-10 against a good football team
in an adverse situation like that, you kind of feel like you need to get some points back and
the quickest way to try to get yardage is to throw the ball. We had a good mix in the first half
of runs and passes and we got away from that in the second half and I think the score of the
game had more to do with it than anything else.”
(On Quinn starting vs. Cincinnati)- “That determination hasn’t been made yet so I am not
going to sit here and say that. I have told Quinn all along that he is one play away and that’s
the way he has to approach it. He prepares himself every week like he is the starter and
like he is going to get playing time. The number of reps he gets in practice is not up to him,
it’s up to us as coaches. I know that he will do everything he can to be ready and when he
gets called on I think he will go in there and perform to the best of his ability. We will have
to see how good that is.”
(On Jamal Lewis)- “I thought that Jamal ran the ball well. When you look at his totals from
the game, I think he had a 4.7 average and that’s pretty good for a running back and that’s
pretty good for a running back. When you look at that, you would say that he probably should
have carried the ball more. Then, like I said, we come out in the second half and before we
know it, it’s 21-10 instead of 10-7. If it’s 10-7, he probably gets more carries but now when it
becomes 21-10 then you’re behind in the game, you feel like you need to catch up a little bit
and so that changes the play calling a little.”
(On Quinn being considered a rookie)- “I think the year to prepare and get versed in the
system helps him defiantly. It’s not like being a total rookie but you still haven’t had the game
reps. The game reps are the thing that get you experience basically.”
(On Jerome Harrison)- “We had him in the game same. We weren’t able to get the ball to
him or call his number. You have to try to see how you can disseminate the ball and who disseminate it to. Jamal is the starting running back so when he is not in there you put Harrison
in and he is kind of more of a role player right now. On the screen pass he played his role
very well on that particular one. The other times he was in there the ball didn’t get to him in
the role that he had to play. Here again, as coaches we are going to have to look to see if
Harrison in the game and getting him the ball will help us.”
(On Jamal Lewis’ comments about not getting enough carries)- “Jamal, he played in Baltimore before he got here and so he was ready to play this game and he wanted to go down
there and show that he was still the running back that they got rid of and he was a good running back. So he wanted the ball more and I can understand his frustration about not being
able to have the ball more, in that game particularly.”
(On Derek Anderson’s struggles)- “As I just mentioned it’s a combination of things. When the
defense can pin their ears back and come after the quarterback like they were able to do in
the second half because of the score, and sometimes because of the yardage, it’s tough for
the quarterback because the pocket gets collapsed on him. Then, he has to do try to deliver
the ball downfield depending on the coverage and if its man coverage and you can’t get
anybody free then you have nowhere to go with the ball. Now the pressure gets to you so
you have to move off, your timing is off and now you still have to throw and deliver the ball.
All of those things play into it, that’s why I said if you can have a good mix in your play calling, you can help the quarterback a lot more so that they’re not able to pin their ears back.
When you get to third and 15, there’s not much mix that you can have there. You have to try
to get 15 yards to get the first down so you need to call a play that can give you a chance to
get 15 yards and generally you drop back to throw the ball and your opponent knows that
and if they’re a good rushing team like the Ravens are, they pin those ears back and they
make it tough on everybody.”
(On the defense)- “The first half I thought they did okay. We got some turnovers which was
good. In the second half after the score got to be what it was, I don’t think we did as well
overall. I thought they kept playing a little bit but we never got them into that third-and-long
situation. I think there might have been one of two series in the second half where we got
to a third down and got them off the field. They loaded up that offensive line and hammered
the ball.”
(On the most frustrating part of the season)- “Our inconsistency and not being able to execute the way we need to execute to win. We come out in the second half we got the kickoff
and we got a penalty on the kickoff. Then we are backed up and we get penalties to back
us up further then you are in a hole and have to try to get out of the hole and you throw and
interception. It kind of snow balls a little bit so that is the most disappointing thing. Being as
disciplined as we need to be for this team because everybody - players coaches - felt like
this team was going to be a good team from what we did last year and we were kind of living
off that I believe. Now I wanted to make the point that last year is officially over. It’s over so
we are not living on last year. What we did last year will not impact us this year. We need to
do a whole hell of a lot better this year.”
(On the challenges the coaches face with an 0-3 team)- “I think the biggest challenge, as
I just mentioned also, is that we as coaches have to determine which players are playing
good and which players give us the best chance to win. Then we’ve got to get those guys
out there on the field. Then, if we have players who have some deficiencies on the team,
