SAD DAY FOR PUPPETS
Sad Day For Puppets is Anna, Martin, Marcus, Micael and Alex from Stockholm, Sweden. Their music is noisy
– but not too noisy! In fact, Again and When You Tell Me That You Love Me are just the right kind of noisy,
and bursting with distorted guitars, combined with Anna’s dreamy vocals, they constitute the perfect kind
of shoegaze-esque pop. You’ll tell them that you love them, again and again and again!
It is as simple as this... Are you into wall of guitars, waves of voices, bombastic heartbreaks and
...then we are indeed a friend.
Sad Day For Puppets was formed in 2006 in Blackeberg, a suburb to Stockholm (Sweden), by Martin Källholm,
guitarist and songwriter. The natural focal point of the band is singer Anna Eklund, in it's turn leaning on Marcus Sandgren's ringing and fuzzy chords.
Most of the bands influences can be traced back to the early nineties, when they all were teenagers. This
period has made it’s mark on the band. The guitars are once again allowed to roam free and shine. The
music is all about shimmering layers of guitars, intertwined feedback melodies all dreamy and grand
and sad, and ethereal harmony vocals.
Fantastic single from Swedish band Sad Day For Puppets. On the A side exclusive track "Again" shines
with a moody melody, lush guitars and the beautiful vocals of Anna Eklund. On the B side you'll find an
alternative version of "When You Tell Me That You Love Me". The artwork was also done by Anna herself!
Another glorious release by Cloudberry.
