Mission
We have been so blessed to call Flatbush, Brooklyn
our home, our community for the last 9 years. Since
we had begun our church here we have seen awesome
movements of God in the lives of this wonderful and
so beloved people.
As we are in a new fall season,
please stand with us as we are believing God for more
amazing things
that will change and transform lives.
Empowering the
youth and families
within the urban
communities
through the gospel
of Jesus Christ
Flatbush has a very high rate of infection for
HIV, mostly being women. 32% of New York
City women who have contracted HIV live in
Brooklyn (ages 13-24). Flatbush also has one
of the highest rates of return of incarcerated
young adults in NYC. Due to its large
population, Brooklyn has more crimes against
persons including murder, rape, robbery, and
assault than any other borough. Not to
mention the high rates of unemployment,
illiteracy, abortion, and gang activities are
strong factors that contribute to this problem.
That is why Calvary Crosses Church will
continue to educate, counsel, mentor, teach
and equip the youth and young adults with the
necessary tools to confront these threatening
issues within the community today. “Beloved, let us love one
another, for love is of God;
and everyone who loves is
born of God and knows
God. God has sent His only
begotten Son into the world
that we might live through
Him. Beloved, if God so
loved us, we also ought to
love one another.” 1 John 4
