Members will learn gospel music, a
Mass setting based on Negro
spirituals, music for the Liturgy and
acquire a basic knowledge of music.
The choir meets on the 1st and 3rd
Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00
noon at St. Louis Parish-3640 Fred
George Road. The next rehearsal is
scheduled for January 19, 2013.

Convention Center,
Okaloosa Island, Fort
Walton Beach, 9:00
a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Bishop Parkes calls each
of us to renew, refresh and re-invigorate
our faith in Christ and the Catholic Church.
Keynote speaker is Msgr. James Lisante,
former Director of “The Christophers”.
Spanish keynote is Santiago Fernandez
who is Musical Director of the National
Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry.
There will be a variety of English and
Spanish breakout speakers for small
presentations, an opportunity for Mass,
confession and Eucharistic Adoration. In
addition, there will be activities and
speakers for every age group, including
programs for children and Middles Schools
age.
On Friday, February 8th at 7:00PM there
will be a pre-Conference Concert at St.
Mary’s Church in Fort Walton Beach. Fr.
John Licari is putting the concert together
January 13, 2013
and will also perform in the concert. This
will be a great way to begin our special
celebration of faith! Registration will begin
on December 3rd through the diocesan web
site, our “Year of Faith” Facebook page or

Discernment
Retreat
for
Women: Discerning from Within the
Heart of Christ. The Apostles of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus will be offering a
Discernment Retreat for young women
ages 18-30 from January 18-19, 2013 at the
Neumann Retreat Center 685 Miccosukee
Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
The
weekend will include Eucharistic liturgies;
Eucharistic adoration; Liturgy of the Hours
prayed in common; vocation and
discernment talks, and time for personal
prayer and reflection. Form more
